View Full Version : Am I a little overly concerned??
Last nite while perusing online and TV news I suddenly realized Brandon (et all) need not do anything in the Putin Sanctions column as the American and World "Private Businesses" are for the most part doing the sanctions for him.
1)That's not the transparency I want from Brandon, nor any other World leader
2) Private Bussiness should not be the arbiter of Internation Politics
AT what point does "helpful" business become leaders of world politics AND economics?? 🧐😡

When private businesses take such steps on their own, from the perspective of the affected, they just declared themselves to be belligerents in the conflict.
What happens when the responses escalate and become kinetic?
Are large corporations ready to have their board members “captured” or worse?
Are large tech companies ready to have the hardware side of their infrastructure sabotaged?
This is a horrible idea, but they’ve already acted.
Time will reveal the wisdom of their actions.

That JJ is what the WEF and Klaus Schwab have been working towards for quite sometime. On a smaller scale Canada used the similar tactics last month with the truckers. It's only a matter of time before the same tactics will be used against average citizens.

Being on the “winning” side is just a step towards social credit scores and fascism.
If political activism becomes too large a part of the business model, holding the wrong political position will result in the business failing.
No good can come of this, win or lose.

..."Private Businesses" are for the most part doing the sanctions"
Sounds almost like an Oligarchy but its not.
What we have going on is nothing more than a select group of people from diverse backgrounds: nobility, fame, wealth, education, corporate leaders from the energy sector and the tech industry along with a handful of political representatives that are leveraging their wealth and power to get their way. Common in an oligarchy would be the rich (not the government) impacting your freedom of speech or limiting your individual liberties unless you submit to their demands.
An actual oligarchy may LOOK similar but they rely on public obedience and oppression to wield that power. Only "evil" nations can be ruled by an oligarchy. We the people are far to cosmopolitan to let such frivolous abuses of power take place here in the USA.
This is America - we have no oligarchy here.
Plutocracy is the softer more preferred word. "Pluto-cracy"
...because Pluto is a Disney character and thus, "cute" and tolerable.
It's only a matter of time before the same tactics will be used against average citizens.
...for whatever its worth, I'm pretty certain that all of the Canadian truckers view themselves as "average citizens".
I'm pretty sure that many Americans who have found themselves unable to use certain credit cards or online commerce venues because their purchase are firearms related.
I'd also bet a bottle of Gentleman Jack that there are TENS OF MILLIONS of Russians right now at this very moment that consider themselves "average citizens"
Its the average citizens that are impacted by this type of warfare because the "real" oligarchs aren't worried about money. The Panama papers incident has already proved that the rich and powerful are untouchable and can buy what they want when they want...
...just ask Bill Clinton's friend Jeffery and Hillary's friend Vince..
Now, get back to work. Peas will be served at their usual time.

The most valuable thing in the world is trust.
Without trust, commerce grinds to a halt.
If private companies decide to flex on Russia, there are many ways they might respond.
Russia has a history of using scorched earth tactics.
What happens if they use scorched earth targeted in a way to affect international commerce?
Once trust starts to erode, it can snowball.

Everyone these days are Social Justice Warriors. There is a reason I no longer purchase Anheuser-Busch, Under Armor, or Nike products. They have taken action and made a statement. Just like businesses are doing with this Ukraine debacle.
Lets take a step back and ask that question how are these SJW individuals (we support Ukraine) and companies going to react when China invades Taiwan? Will we be boycotting China like we are doing Russia now? It will be interesting to see considering all the support China has been given from all these SJW US citizens and companies.

In July 1941, the U.S. completely embargoed resources to Japan and froze all Japanese assets in American entities. American policies forced Japan to the wall. With the approval of Japanese Emperor Hirohito, the Japanese Navy began planning to attack Pearl Harbor, the Philippines, and other bases in the Pacific in early December to open the route to the Dutch East Indies.
The Hull Note
The Japanese kept diplomatic lines open with the U.S. on the off chance they could negotiate an end to the embargo. Any hope of that vanished on November 26, 1941, when U.S. Secretary of State Cordell Hull handed Japanese ambassadors in Washington, D.C. what has come to be known as the "Hull Note."
The note said that the only way for the U.S. to remove the resource embargo was for Japan to:
Remove all troops from China.
Remove all troops from Indochina.
End the alliance it had signed with Germany and Italy the previous year.
Japan could not accept the conditions.
By the time Hull delivered his note to the Japanese diplomats, imperial armadas were already sailing for Hawaii and the Philippines. World War II in the Pacific was only days away.

The way this has been handled so far, the world is gunna feel a royal fucking right up the ass!
The OPEC nations have already signaled support for Putin, and will not muster the effort to ease oil’s shortage around the world.
Before long we’ll be cutting secret deals with Iran to provide oil so’s we don’t upset the snowflakes with buying Russian oil and gas.
China is waiting to see how this all plays out and then strike many economic deals with everyone in Asia to raise costs on everything we’ve come to rely upon.
This will not end well and A-ME-rica and Europea will wish someone else; anyone else, was occupying the White House!

Former Keystone Pipeline worker says US energy crisis is result of Biden's policies: 'We tried to warn you'
Biden administration officials discussed "energy security" in Venezuela, and the president is considering a trip to Saudi Arabia. Psaki also didn't rule out importing Iranian oil if a nuclear deal is renewed.
"When I’d first seen the reports of the president going to places like Iran and Venezuela to ask for more oil output, I said ‘this is fake news, he hasn’t gone this far off the rocker,’" Crabtree told Fox News. "But I guess that's the path they want to take."

One article (https://www.breitbart.com/economy/2022/03/09/oil-crashes-on-uae-statement-in-favor-of-boosting-oil-output/), picked up from the Financial Times, but if true an interesting mil-pol effect given current US regime's efforts at completely screwing up domestic. Breitbart quoted due to FT paywall.
Oil Crashes on UAE Statement in Favor of Boosting Oil Output
The price of oil crashed on Wednesday after the UAE reportedly said it would encourage fellow OPEC members to increase oil production levels.
“We favor production increases and will be encouraging OPEC to consider higher production levels,” said Yousef al-Otaiba, the UAE’s ambassador to Washington. This statement was first reported by the Financial Times (https://www.ft.com/content/cd26f107-6217-4c8d-befe-11772b40ca66).
“The UAE has been a reliable and responsible supplier of energy to global markets for more than 50 years and believes that stability in energy markets is critical to the global economy,” he continued.
West Texas Intermediate crude futures, the U.S. benchmark, were down by more than 10 percent at 1 P.M. eastern standard time. Brent crude was down by 10.9 percent.
Locally, we're at about $.10/day increase (Reg 4.09). What happens while it costs a trucker $1500 ($4.99 to $5.19/gal) to feed the diesel monster?
I note some of the news sites have the stock kids' tickers on the positive side for a change.
While on a search concerning the WEF, I came across a 1:20 min Video produce by a Robert Leroy Horton. The video was an in-depth look at the three cities: Roman Catholic Vatican, London, and Washington, DC., all incorporated outside the gov/structure of each country they reside in. The video focused the correlation of the three cities as a demonic representation for a new world order and pointily expressed that the realization was near and embodied in the current incarnate of evil: WEF.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4KNxgWY5yg
The video demonstration is conducted by Horton by name and is attached to both USACAPOC(A) and USASOC graphically by unit emblems/patches, and the SF Crest, indicating authenticity.
In my attempt to locate Horton has netted zero, or Obits. If he is still upright, how can I get his POC, is there an msg board?
President Milei of Argentina in Davos 2024: Summary in 20 quotes
1:
"Today I am here to tell you that the western world is in danger, and it's in danger because those who are supposed to defend the values of the west are co-opted by a vision of the world that inexorably leads to socialism, and thereby to poverty."
2:
"Unfortunately, in recent decades, motivated by some well meaning individuals willing to help others, and others motivated by the desire to belong to a privileged class, the main leaders of the western world have abandoned the model of freedom for different versions of what we call collectivism."
3:
"We are here to tell you that collectivist experiments are never the solution to the problems that afflict the citizens of the world, rather they are the root cause."
4:
"The problem with neoclassical (economists) is the model they love so much does not match reality, so they attribute their own mistakes to the supposed market failure, rather than reviewing the premises of their model."
5:
"On the pretext of the supposed market failures, regulations are introduced, which only create distortions in the price system, preventing economic calculation, and therefore, also prevent savings, investment, and growth.".
6:
"Not even supposedly libertarian economists understand what the market is, because if they did understand it, they would quickly see that it's impossible for something alone the lines of market failure to exist."
7:
"Talking about market failure is an oxymoron, there are no market failures, if transaction are voluntary the only context where it can be a market failure is coercion, and the only one that is able to coerce is the state."
8:
"Faced with the theoretical demonstration that state intervention is harmful, and the empirical evidence that it has failed, the solution proposed by the collectivists is not greater freedom but rather greater regulation.
Greater regulation which creates a downwards spiral until we are all poor, and the life of all of us depend on a bureaucrat sitting somewhere in a luxury office."
9:
"Given the dismal failure of collectivist models, and the undeniable advances in the free world, socialists were lead to change their agenda.
They left behind the class struggle based on the economic system, and replaced it with other supposed social conflicts, which are just as harmful to life as a community, and to economic growth."
10:
"Today's states don't need to directly control the means of production to control every aspect of the life of individuals.
With tools like printing money, debt, subsidies, control of the interest rate, price controls, and regulations to correct the so called market failures, they can control the lives and fates of millions of individuals."
11:
"They say that capitalism is evil because it's individualistic and that collectivism is good because it's altruistic, of course with the money of others."
12:
"Those who promote social justice, they advocate the idea that the whole economy is a pie that can be shared in better ways, but that pie is not a fixed given, it's wealth that get generated in what Israel Kirzner for instance calls a Market Discovery Process."
13:
"If the state punishes the capitalists when they are successful, and gets in the way of the (Market) Discovery Process, they will destroy their incentives and the consequence is that they will produce less, and the pie will be smaller, and this will harm society as a whole."
14:
"Collectivism, by inhibiting the (Market) Discovery Process and hindering the appropriation of discoveries, ends up binding the hands of entrepreneurs and preventing them to provide better goods and services at a better price."
15:
"Thanks to free enterprise capitalism, the world is now living its best moment, never in all of mankind's or humanity's history there has been a time of more prosperity than today.
Today's world is more free, more rich, more peaceful, and more prosperous than in any other time of human history.
And this is particularly true for those countries that respect economic freedom and the property rights of individuals."
16:
"The capitalist, the successful entrepreneur, is a social benefactor, who far from appropriating the wealth of others, contributes to the general well-being of all.
Ultimately, a successful entrepreneur is a hero."
17:
"Libertarianism is the unrestricted respect for the project of life of others, based on the non-aggression principle, in defense of the right to life, to liberty, and to property.
With its fundamental institutions being: Private property, markets free from state intervention, free competition, the division of labor, and social cooperation.
Where you can only be successful by serving others with goods of better quality at a best price."
18:
"The impoverishment produced by collectivism is no fantasy, nor it is fatalism, it's a reality that we in Argentina have known very well for at least 100 years."
"We have lived through it, and we are here to warn you about what can happen if the countries in the western world -that became rich through the model of freedom-, stay on this road to serfdom."
19:
"We come here today to invite other countries in the western world to return to the path of prosperity.
Economic freedom, limited government, and the unrestricted respect for private property, are essential elements for economic growth."
20:
"In concluding, I would like to leave a message for all entrepreneurs and business people here, and for those who are not here in person but are following from around the world:
Do not be intimidated either by the political caste nor by parasites who live off the state.
Do not surrender yourself to a political class that only wants to perpetuate itself in power and keep their privileges.
You are social benefactors, you are heroes, you are the creators of the most extraordinary period of prosperity we have ever seen.
Let no one tell you that your ambition is immoral.
If you make money, it's because you offer a better product at the best price, thereby contributing to the general well-being.
Do not yield to the advance of the state.
The state is not the solution, the state is the problem itself.
You are the true protagonists of this story.
And rest assured that starting today, you can count on Argentina as an unconditional ally.
Long Live Freedom, Dammit!"

Note that there is very substantial currency devaluation risk, and its very much a high-risk, high-reward play.

I understand initially he's trying to get some fiscal things done to square some stuff up, and there is some back & forth with the IMF. Hopefully this will play out to their (and your) betterment. He & a couple others gave it to the WEFites in spades. Probably not going to be on Kerry's or Macron's Christmas card list.
