A new innovation from the University of Oxford may soon be able to boost that number, thanks to an innovative design for a cheaper ‘off-the-shelf’ version.

Yes a ventilator is a tool (machine) but usually more sophisticated than that.

There’s a lot(understatement) of chatter in the US DOD innovator community about rapid prototyping of simple/low cost improved ventilator designs and PPE.

I reckon the ventilator problem will be solved more easily than the PPE N95 problem due to relative scaling,
