View Full Version : Tribute to MIA's
Came across this video on the Old School Special Forces Rally Point FB page. Someone went to a lot of work putting it together. "In Remembrance of the 129 unaccounted for SOG, Mike Force and the aviators that supported them. We will never forget."

Ricky was a medic in C Company 1st SFG (Abn.) on Okinawa in 1964/1965 when I was there. His MIA status was changed on 11 July 1974 from MIA to Died while missing BNR. He would have been 78 years old March 17, 2019. Rest In Peace.

Being KIA is one thing, dying in captivity perhaps worse but MIA BNR and eventually forgotten by society is a terrible way to go....god bless the POW/MIA mission of the JPRA to repatriate any and all Americans and their remains
Hopefully, one of these years we can close the list..:mad:
Bonnie Cooper does a lot of good stuff and this is a great example. :lifter:lifter

There is a segment of our society that will never forget. What is sad is that we normalized relations with VN without first demanding a full accounting of what happened to these men. JJ little by little time will close that list but it is going to be a long time.

When that asshole Clinton visited RVN and declared publicly, on a dig in 1995, in order to "normalize relations" that "there were no remaining living POWs in SEA from the Vietnam Conflict" -it hurt our efforts tremendously. Not to mention the LAST JACKASS who was in office who lifted the arms embargo to this COMMUNIST COUNTRY.
Even while I was the JTF-FA and JPAC SGN, after Clinton's "declaration" we would go on investigations to villages and the villagers would LITERALLY laugh at us after stating that they personally assisted in trafficking Americans through Indochina to both N. Korea and the former Soviet Union and telling us that we were stupid for "thinking like the West". "They are no longer here" -
The former administrations can wallow in Hell for all I care. May the ghosts of those who they cast aside for the almighty trade dollar haunt them and their families for an eternity.
