His original story stunk. They finally got him back and are in the process of charging him with desertion and they let him go again. I thought the Jarheads were tougher than that.
The article says desertion is punishable by 5 years. I thought it was closer to the firing squad or gallows or needle. To me it is desertion in the face of the enemy as well as collaborating with the enemy!! :mad:
