This is a pretty good test. It indicates that the majority of Americans don't know what's going on. It's astonishing that so many people got less than half right. These results say that 80% of the (voting) public doesn't have a clue and that's pretty scary. There are no tricks here. Just a simple test to see if you are current on your information.
Test your knowledge with 13 questions, and then be ready to shudder when you see how others did.

Had no idea what Elizabeth Warren or Chris Christie look like.
I do know who they are and the associated issues (hear about them plenty on the radio).
Tend to get news through radio and text.
The lack of TV news has been a great blessing to my blood pressure.

Nailed it. Yawn.
I'm not sure that being able to recognize twitter is as essential as recognizing the Chinese flag, Syria on a map or a graph of the unemployment stats but informed is informed. Glad there weren't any questions about Gordon Beiber.

Ditto. I scored 10/13 too. The faces were all unknowns to me except Kerry. I guessed on Elizabeth Warren and came up correct. That is okay. I am certain if it showed the PM of Canada most Americans would not be able to identify him either. I guess it is all about priorities, heh-heh.jaYson

12 of 13. Wouldn't know Fauxahontas if she was protesting the Washington Redskins name and logo.
I live in Washington state so that same sex marriage question was easy. Actually, I thought all but the one I missed were easy. I've prided myself on not being a low information voter.
Notably the second highest correctly answered question was the one about the Twitter logo. The current administration is mastering exploiting the low info masses to the max by going on the pop culture shows and avoiding the White House press corps and tough news shows. Want to compete in that demographic? Put Paul Ryan on the P90X infomercial. Just saying.

Well bleach my hair blonde and call me Cookie - three mistakes! Thank-you for pointing that out. No excuse for the spelling error with 'ditto', but I was totally unaware that OK could not be spelled 'ok'. The same goes for the set standard of using only pink lettering when being sarcastic. One learns something new everyday.
Problems solved.

Knowing who Gordon Lightfoot is kind of shows people your age, doesn't it?

Technically, that's wrong. You answered 11 of 13 questions correctly along with 32% of responders. It's just that some others answered those 11 correctly, and one or two others as well.
I did get 13 of 13, but I must say two were guesses. I had no idea about Washington State and same-sex marriage, but guessed that since there really weren't any trick questions up to that point, it was likely to be the most liberal state of the choices given. And Twitter was just a wild-assed guess.
And I would have had to guess on Elisabeth Warren if this quiz had been taken a few weeks ago. I never paid attention to what she looked like during the whole Senate campaign, but she was in the news recently making some snide comments in a Senate hearing.

12 out of 13.
Must say I don't like the heavy focus on pictures. Knowing what a few people look like is not as important as knowing what is in the bill of rights or what the percentage of money that goes to foreign aid is.
That said, the only one I got wrong was the twitter one. That is embarrassing as I am most likely younger than most of you. But I never use twitter or read it as limiting the verbiage that I spew out is hard for a man of my flawed character.
I missed my correct age group.

i guessed at the picture of Warren though.
and it is not an ideal representation of news IQ. i can name my state senators, representatives and governor (did not actually votoe for any of them though) but i could not pick them out in a line up cause i read more news than i get from tv
