Now everyone knows the SEC is the better conference and that the Vols are the better team nice try though better luck next year against a second rate conference like the big12....... Go BIG ORANGE!
First, your assumption that perceived conference strength is a predictor of bowl game success is flawed. If that were the #1 predictor, then the Mountain West would not have won a single game. Second- The game will come down to defense, and Bud Foster trumps Monty Kiffin any day of the week. Granted, Kiffin was a great coordinator in the NFL, but he doesn't exactly have stellar athletes to work with right now at UT. Maybe in a few years you can be cocky about how good your team is...

If you want to thump your chest before the game, fine. But maybe you should have waited until after the game to say "nice try" and "better luck next year."
