We're racist, huh? Yeah ok, I'm racist for wanting ANYONE who enters my Country illegally to be sent back from where they came.

The same poll found that 76 percent of Mexicans think that crossing into the U.S. illegally should not be a crime.

79 percent of Mexicans want illegals already in the US to be legalized.

I have soooo many unlady-like yet colorful adjective and verb phrases for these folks.

They are not the only people in this country that use an ER as a clinic! In fact I have heard individuals brag about how many different names they have used and the same hospital continues to treat them...by law.

We had a similar problem in south Florida with the Haitians and the Cubans. Cubans would get over because they use that Castro will kill us BS. Miami may as well be a part of Cuba as a result. There has been a lot of media coverage on this crap and its already ridiculous. Bottom line, the border needs to be sealed tight for more reasons than just keeping out Mexicans, and the smackdown needs to befall all those Employers who want to stiff Americans. Once that happens, problem solved. Let's see Washington pull it off. We are gonna have to make a bigger stink than our opposition to square this thing away.

Okay LEO why is it you and ERs can ask Illegals where their from. I know, well heard on the TV that LEO and First Responders can't ask a people (Illegals), that they feel are here Illegally. AL or RL Why??

Oh we can ask! We can demand documantation all we like. The problem is the INS won't do anything about it (yes I was told this by an agent-off the record)! Even when we take someone into custody, book them, and contact INS we get bupkis in the form of a government response! This is the usual statement; "just release them, send us your paperwork, and we will follow up"....yeah, right.

IN the 1970's through mid 80's law enforcement received great response from Immigration (now ICE). In fact if we contacted an illegal driving without a license we arrested them on that charge and ICE hold was put on them for deportation. Any illegal being booked into jail found himself with an ICE hold.

Then things began to change................we no longer conducted joint raids with ICE at local bars frequented by illegals, we no longer conducted joint raids with ICE at major employers of illegals. ICE would no longer deport individuals unless their crimes were felonies.

One can trace the rise in illegal population and crimes committed by illegals to this absolutely asinine change in policy.

I can assure you that the immigration problem would quickly be diminished if we went back to the former policy of deporting all illegals! We don't need walls or troops on the border. All that needs to be done is return to law enforcement agencies the ability to put holds on them ....The Good Ol Days!

All these elaborate plans are smoke and mirrors. The problem can be solved with current assets. End of Story!

I could not agree with you more. Whille running the roads in CO I can't begin to recall the times I stopped loads of illegals, contacted INS and got the responce "get all their information so we can track them". This was after INS sent us a memo stating they would came out pick up loads of 15 or more. I never stopped a load with less than 12. The mule usually had enough cash to seize for evidence in traficing investigations. At least it hampered their trip a bit. Ins and the Troop Cdr would not go along with holding the money. I impounded vehicles and all sorts of things to make it hard on the illegals and put pressure on INS. A few weeks ago there was a trial in Federal court here, a domestic thing with a few interesting twists. in the course of the trial it was discovered the male, not in attendance, was illegal. The Federal District Judge had INS contacted to to go get the illegal. In keeping with the INS tradition the Judge was told by INS they were too busy.

The only time I ever saw INS do their job was on a couple of occasions when a van load crashed out in the middle of nowhere and all 17-18 where killed. they could not be identified etc. Yes, INS jumped through hoops then due to the media coverage. On a few occasions I contacted the INS LE desk in Chicago. they were very helpful, checked them out and put holds on them. The Local agent never came and picked them up so the county jail released them since it was evident they were eating the cost of housing them.

It is a sad case as you pointed out.

I'm just as disheartened as everyone else when it comes to how we've allowed people to enter the country illegally with no repercussions. I think the important question we need to ask is why have we, the people, allowed this ?

Oh, and racist is the wrong word. Mexican is NOT a race; the word refers to the national origin of people from Mexico. Anybody claiming that Mexicans all share the same ethnicity might as well suggest that Americans do too, because it's just as inaccurate and blatantly false.

What honestly frightens me is to see our politicians pandering to illegal immigrants. Before we know it, these people might end up being granted the right to vote in our elections, a right they did not earn through the legal process. Then Americans will truly become an oppressed majority.

Also, last I checked, it was a crime to aid and abet criminals. Illegal immigrants are criminals and I believe the organizations and people in the US that are attempting to aid them are committing a crime by doing so. It is a crime for an employer to hire people he/she knows are not legally entitled to work in this country.

If you want to become an American citizen, there is a legal process to go through. Why are the laws being treated like a joke ?

We in law enforcement are waiting for this issue to be resolved. As a result of the Consular Convention certain rights were afforded to aliens, illegal and legal that someone failed to notify us about. The consulate of each alien arrested is to be notified upon an arrest!!! Well guess what.........hasn't been done! Several cases including "Avena" and "Medellin"are claiming since the consulates were not notified........exclusionary rule applies. This is working it's way through the appeals process with a bunch of latin legal diversions and Executive Orders from POTUS. The largest population to be effected is Mexican aliens, no surprise here.

This could get ugly!

There is NO way, I could ever respond to all the above and do the 'quote' thing.

Howver most is dead on. The lib Gov down here nixed a bill that would allow Leo's to ask a person's citizen status. Well more like, demand proof. As was stated earlier by some Leo's on here. Down here they can ask that and anything else they want. It's just that the whoever's don't have to answer.

These illegals comming over have been schooled in all this. SOooooooooooooo, no big deal!! Another thing, I know local cops could call ICE allllllllllll week long and get nowhere.

Again, there is more.........

Oh yeah. If an illegal gets a runny nose......... off to the emergency room for some FREE health care. Hell!! Doesn't matter if I'm wheeled into an ER with a sucking chest wound or whatever....... I will be charged, not having health insurance, hunted down and hounded for years.......... Not the illegals though. Oh sorry. Sometimes I lose my PC stuff. Not illegals.... 'undocumented workers' That's better. Then again. If I were a burgler and caught ripping off one of these million/2 million dollar houses around here........ I'd just claim to be an undocumented shopper...........

A few years ago CO settled a law suit that was absolutely crazy. A trooper made a stop in eastern CO and the driver was a Mexican. Nothing surprising there. In the course of his questioning to determine if the driver was illegal the trooper asked the driver was he was born. Bam-law suit. The CO State Patrol told all of us the question was a good question, appropriate to determine if the driver was illegtal, but to get rid of the law suit they settled for $10K. Now that is a crock of sh--! We were all told not to ask drivers where they born after that cluster.

The Sheeple have already forgotten that a whole lot of mexicans were dancing in the streets, cheering when 9/11 happened.

I believe in legal immigration and do not think criminals should be given free reign or a pardon. I don't care if it’s two or twenty million, send them home......

Dear Senator Frist,

There is a huge amount of propaganda and myths circulating about illegal aliens, particularly illegal Mexican, Salvadorian, Guatemalan and Honduran aliens. To wit:

1. Illegal aliens generally do NOT want U. S. citizenship. Americans are very vain thinking that everybody in the world wants to be a U. S. citizen.
Mexicans, and other nationalities want to remain citizens of their home countries while obtaining the benefits offered by the United States such as employment, medical care, in-state tuition, government subsidized housing and free education for their offspring. Their main attraction is employment and their loyalty usually remains at home. They want benefits earned and subsidized by middle class Americans. What illegal aliens want are benefits of American residence without paying the price.

2. There are no jobs that Americans won't do. Illegal aliens are doing jobs that Americans can't take and still support their families. Illegal aliens take low wage jobs, live dozens in a single residence home, share expenses and send money to their home country. There are no jobs that Americans won't do for a decent wage.

3. Every person who illegally entered this nation left a home. They are NOT homeless and they are NOT Americans. Some left jobs in their home countries.
They come to send money to their real home as evidenced by the more than 20 billion dollars sent out of the country each year by illegal aliens. These illegal aliens knowingly and willfully entered this nation in violation of the law and therefore assumed the risk of detection and deportation. Those who brought their alien children assumed the responsibility and risk on behalf of their children.

4. Illegal aliens are NOT critical to the economy. Illegal aliens constitute less than 5% of the workforce. However, they reduce wages and benefits for lawful U. S. residents.

5. This is NOT an immigrant nation. There are 280 million native born Americans. While it is true that this nation was settled and founded by immigrants (legal immigrants), it is also true that there is not a nation on this planet that was not settled by immigrants at one time or another.

6. The United States is welcoming to legal immigrants. Illegal aliens are not immigrants by definition. The U. S. accepts more lawful immigrants every year than the rest of the world combined.

7. There is no such thing as the "Hispanic vote". Hispanics are white, brown, black and every shade in between. Hispanics are Republicans, Democrats, Anarchists, Communists, Marxists and Independents. The so-called "Hispanic vote" is a myth. Pandering to illegal aliens to get the Hispanic vote is a dead end.

8. Mexico is NOT a friend of the United States. Since 1848 Mexicans have resented the United States. During World War I Mexico allowed German Spies to operate freely in Mexico to spy on the U. S. During World War II Mexico allowed the Axis powers to spy on the U. S. from Mexico. During the Cold War Mexico allowed spies hostile to the U. S. to operate freely. The attack on the Twin Towers in 2001 was cheered and applauded all across Mexico. Today Mexican school children are taught that the U. S. stole California, Arizona, new Mexico and Texas. If you don't believe it, check out some Mexican textbooks written for their schoolchildren.

9. Although some illegal aliens enter this country for a better life, there are 6 billion people on this planet. At least 1 billion of those live on less than one dollar a day. If wanting a better life is a valid excuse to break the law and sneak into America, then let's allow those one billion to come to America and we'll turn the USA into a Third World nation overnight.
Besides, there are 280 million native born Americans who want a better life.
I'll bet Bill Gates and Donald Trump want a better life. When will the USA lifeboat be full? Since when is wanting a better life a good reason to trash another nation?

10. There is a labor shortage in this country. This is a lie. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of American housewives, senior citizens, students, unemployed and underemployed who would gladly take jobs at a decent wage.

11. "It is racist to want secure borders". What is racist about wanting secure borders and a secure America? What is racist about not wanting people to sneak into America and steal benefits we have set aside for legal aliens, senior citizens, children and other legal residents? What is it about race that entitles people to violate our laws, steal identities, and take the American Dream without paying the price? For about four decades American politicians have refused to secure our borders and look after the welfare of middle class Americans.
These politicians have been of both parties. A huge debt to American society has resulted. This debt will be satisfied and the interest will be high.
There has already been riots in the streets by illegal aliens and their supporters. There will be more.

You, as a politician, have a choice to offend the illegal aliens who have stolen into this country and demanded the rights afforded to U. S. citizens or to offend those of us who are stakeholders in this country. The interest will be steep either way. There will be civil unrest. There will be a reckoning. Do you have the courage to do what is right for America? Or, will you bow to the wants and needs of those who don't even have the right to remain here? There will be a reckoning. It will come in November of this year, again in 2008 and yet again in 2010. We will not allow America to be stolen by third world agitators and thieves.

I to can't Quote from the above Post over this subject, just to much stuff.

This whole subject is going to get so much media coverage next month. My parents live in El Paso and just can't get over the number of Illegal that are now living there. ICE "try's", (a lose term) to do something. But even if ICE did work with LEO and could "roundup" groups or 15 and more along with there "mules". I can't see the us working with foreign Governments to get illegal Mexican, Salvadorian, Guatemalan Honduran, Korean, Chinese's, Arabians, Saudis, ETC back to they Countries. I don't think so, we would have to take A/C assists to fly them back. Could we fly them back? - Oh hell YES. But would we? Hell - NO.

Then there is the Big Biz part. They has to much power on the Hill. Which gets me when Big Biz sends so many JOBs to Mexico, India, ETC. So where is the power - in the pocket money for our State Reps. I'll like to see the Business side get hit more, but will they really get the Big Buz? NO. it will be the Small Business getting hit. I was surprise to see what happen last week with the ICE raided offices and plants of IFCO Systems in at least nine states. I like to see this covering more "groups" of Illegals.
The U.S. economy has developed an insatiable appetite for cheap labor because American consumers have developed an insatiable appetite for cheap prices, so Middle America really doesn't care. The deeper business digs for discounts to stay competitive, the more illegal labor inevitably creeps into the equation. Also, the deeper Business digs to fill their pocket, they will look to the low wages by their illegal labor force. They don't have to pay for so may other things on there illegal force. The worst thing is the hypocrisy in the immigration debate is over who should have the right to claim victimization.

Real America does really care right now. Hell America never stood up to the rising Gas prices over the last year. Now that it effects their pockets they care about it. That's how this will be.

Once law changes, which it doesn't need to be just enforced by our Government. At first it may effect American Pockets. But likely not, but if and when, that's when America will care. North Carolina is having a "Anti" State the Gas Tax Hike rally on 9 May at the State Capital. I'll like to see how will show you for this. Just like if American's would really stand up for their states and on illegal aliens topics.

It is already effecting our pock books. They receive medical care along with other social welfare benefits. We pay for them, health insurance premiums are outrageous for those out here in this world, (thank God for Tricare). Our SS dollars are going to them along with our tax dollars. Yep, our pocket books are greatly effected. Let's not forget auto insurance. Illegals are as bad if not more so than the main stream. Property insurance. In the "right" areas they tear all kinds of property up. Tax dollars spent to hire additional cops due to increased crime, Tax dollars to transport the few we deport back to whereever. Yes, the Marhsal Service, Dea and INS are joined in flying them back to Mexico from a transfer location, they are bussed from the starting point to there. Per Diem for the federal officers for 2-4 weeks at a pop during the fly back period. It keeps on going. The illegal problem has been in our pocket books for a while now.

What tightens my colon is that I've heard several examples of Canadians living in the US as Legal Aliens, doing everything a normal US citizen does except vote, and they are still at Step One trying to get naturalized.

If this amnesty program is put into law, they're better off going home and crossing the border as an illegal.
