This is my newest gun.

A Remington XP 100R in 260 Rem. The magazine well has fallen off the table and is not in the picture. I have since put a scope on it and have loaded up some ammo but cannot get to the range to actually fire it. Ii really wish it would quit snowing.

If it is accurate, I will take it to Wyoming and shoot an antelope beyond 500 yards. If it is not accurate I will have it trued and re-barreled and then shoot some antelope.

Is it worth a lot as a collectors item?

I honestly don't know, it's in perfect working order and was used in WWII; that all I know.

Any antique or collectible once modified looses value. In the case of a firearm, the amount of mods determine the percentage of devaluation.

In Penns case the hand guard and metalwork has been removed. The stock ( a shame as it looks like it was once a very nice piece of "tigerstripe" walnut) has been cut and shortened, the pistolgrip has been cut, sanded and a pistol grip cap installed, same for the buttstock with the addition of a recoil pad.

I cant see the front sight, so couldnt say if the barrel has been shortened or modified.

A few saving graces. The bolt or rear sights have not been "bubbazied". Depending on the information on the receiver ring, what you have is an appx. $150.00 sporter. Costs also depend on just how much the serial numbers of the bolt, magazine and barrel match the receiver. This coupled with the year of manufacture (very early and very late being the most desireable) could determine final value.

Just had some work done on my M&P 45, the heavish 7lbs is now down to a more workable 4.5, but the improved reset is what makes it alot more controllable now.

What kind of terminal ballistics are you expecting at 500 (+) yds from a .260 (120/140 gr.?) fired from what appears to be the 14.5" barrel?

What load are you using?
And where’d you find pistol data for the .260?

Based upon what other people are achieving with the exact same gun, I should get 2500fps with the existing barrel. In antelope country, I hunt at about 5000 feet elevation. Using high BC bullets of about 120 grains, I will have an impact velocity of about 1800 fps and a little less than 900 ft# of energy. Antelope are really fragile boned so you do not have to have a lot of bone crushing power.

If the existing barrel does not have enough accuracy for such a shot or the twist is too slow to stabilize the bullets, I will rebarrel to a longer barrel and faster twist that will give me a lot more velocity.

Most people use Varget in the 260 but it is scarce and I need all of it for F-class matches. I have some IMR 4064 that is not immediately needed and so I will work with it. People have been reporting very good results with Reloader 17 in 308 sized cases and it can be found in stores so I might give it a try also. The problem component at the moment is Federal primers.

The older XP -100 single shoot actions were simply designated Remington 600 actions. The XP-100R (repeater versions) are Remington model 7 actions.

Yes it is. I bought it from a friend back in '80 when I was in 2/325 for $20.00. The tip was broken and the sheath and leather on the handle were not in that great of shape but I didn't care. I don't think he knew what he really had. It has all of the 5th Grp Vietnam and Crest stamps in good condition.

I finally just went stark raving crazy from all of the snow and could not take any more of being inside so I went to the range. Snow was still about 2 feet deep to wade out and set up the target but it was better than staying at home. I pressure tested some loads for the XP-100R in 260 Rem.

The recoil is really strange. It is more barrel flip than recoil.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIjQSwqCjZ4

The snow causes a lot of glare for the camera so the video quality is not too good.

You have to go all the way back to the first posts in this thread to get the "guidance". Babes aren't part of the equation unless they're the ones posting and it's their firearms. (FWIW - Some of the lady members are well armed - they're just discrete/ladylike enough not to rub our noses in the fact.) HTH.

Don't like posting a Gun I haven't Fired yet. What the Hell, it's Gun Porn for everyone. I drove up to Fayetteville today in order to pick up a new S&W Carbine I traded for. It was your Basic from the Store Carbine. I added a few things.
Sling Setup. I have been rigging my Weapons slings this way for some time now. It keeps the sling away from the front of the Barrel. It also keeps it away from your light or Lazer Device. For the Rear. It keeps it away from your stock and Charging Handle. Other then a Single Point setup. I find the Sling stays out of the shooters way.

Very nice selection. Fins do a really nice job buffing and polishing up the Mosin Nagants. I have one in a sniper config. It is a interesting piece, in that for all I can find out it may be a actual military build. The kits were assembled from rifles marked SA, this one does not have that marking. The scope is a original Soviet PU scope

My personal preferences lean toward the "early longrifles" particularly WWII Axis weapons. And, Im partial to the Czech manufactured rifles.

1. Is a VZ24 Czech Mauser 8mm. Regimental tag on the buttstock is marked with the Czech Air Force identifier.

2. An all matching VZ24 8mm Contracted to Romania.

3. VZ24 Contracted initially to China. China couldnt come up wit the money, this shipment was sold to the Brazilian Revolutionarie. Cal. 7X57

4. Fabrique Nationale Mod. 24/30 contracted to Venezuela. Cal 7X57

5. A slightly modified but all matching Mod. 1908 Brazilian contract by Deutsche Waffen MunitionsFabrik Oberndorf A/n 7X57

6. A Yougoslav captured K98 Mauser 8mm

My favorite is the Czech G33/40 Fallshirmjeager/Mountain Carbine 8mm.

I put this Gun together last month but added some stuff to it. I also coated the Aimpoint in Cerekote. I changed out the COMP M4 for a COMP ML2. The Dot in the COMP M4 was just to small. Great for reaching out to touch someone. But difficult for obtaining flash sight pictures up close.
1, SW Lower.
2. BCM Upper
3. Angled For grip. I am really liking this forward grip. It allows you to grip the Weapon naturally. The traditional vertical grip. Tends to force the shooter to pull his rounds toward his weak side when shooting fast or under stress.

Well, I've got the collection pretty well trimmed down to just the basics...(including the sweaty ol Blackhawk hat ;))
Nothing fancy. I do want to add a S&W .45 to round it out. Something like a 4513, with a DA trigger similar to the snubby that I'm used to. And of course a good bolt gun for Alaska (probably .375). Well, and maybe a .357 lever gun for AZ here.
But, that's it...

FWIW, there is a private shooting club just south of Dover, DE (about 2 hours) that has a 600 yard range, and last I heard they were building a 1000 yard range. I can get you the info if you need it.

I also vaguely remember finding another private 1000 yard range somewhere in central PA, near Harrisburg if I remember correctly.

I've been to that PA range. That is where I took this photo.

Mifflin County Sportsman Club . . . or something like that.

3.5 hours each way, plus tolls means about $100 just to get there and back. Then about 4 bucks a shot.

But realistically, I don't have the skill (or match grade ammo) to really reach out with that rifle, so traveling to a 1k range isn't necessary, but 100yds seems kind of silly. Not a lot of training available either, so that adds to the difficulty.

I've got a coal mine I can go to, but they change the landscape around so the 600 yard long area from last year may be blocked by a couple different newly created berms this year.

Here is a Lower receiver I coated in Cerekote. Using a cheap Airbrush in my Apartment. It will go on the AR I posted above. I will be placing that Lower on a new AR I'm putting together this week. Pics to follow

1. Receiver must be Coated when stripped like in the picture.
2. Sand it down good, especially the rounded corners. Clean it with degreaser even if it's brand new.
3. Apply Cerekote, bake at 200 degrees for thirty minutes, buff out with a polishing cloth.

I took the 260 Rem XP-100R apart and prepped it and then glass bedded it. I did not get quite enough gel in place for the barrel pad but it should be enough. I will take it and shoot it and see how it does. I was getting 0.4 MOA with 130 grain Bergers but it had a really bad first shot cold barrel POI. Hopefully, bedding the recoil lug will have cured that.

LWRC M6A2 10.5" (factory SBR) w/ FSC556 & Advanced Combat Bolt
LMT SOPMOD, Magpul MIAD, Troy stubby VFG
Troy BUIS
Aimpoint T2 on LaRue HK416 mount
Surefire M300A w/ switch from XT07 assembly

I've been slowly gravitating toward what works for me the past few years, and this rifle reflects those learnings. I chose the HK416 mount because (1) it allows me to use the same cheek weld for all shots and (2) it provides full cowitness with my front irons. Set up like this, the T2 makes a very nice ghost ring and I can still make quick head shots at 50m with the optic down.

I also didn't like being restricted to "momentary on" mode with the stock switch that comes with the M300A, so I scavenged the XT07 switch from an existing X300 setup. It used to be mounted on the left rail, but I use a "thumbs forward" grip and got tired of riding the switch all the time. Mounted on top like this, I only have to change my grip slightly to activate the light, and it is much more unobtrusive.

I'm toying with the idea of moving the light to 6 o'clock to reduce fouling of my lens from the FSC556.

I keep batteries in the MIAD and earplugs in the VFG.

This is the first rifle that I have painted and will probably be my last. The rifle is a Colt LE6920 and was the oldest rat in the barn when I decided to get out the spray cans. It's used quite a bit when I'm running around the Pineland countryside with studs on my heels. So far the Brownell's Aluma Hyde II seems to be holding up very well.

I like it and at it's price, it's worth trying. It's a little smaller in diameter than the standard handguard which makes it easier to grip for me. I bought it with MVG and light for the purpose of mounting in the position shown. It hasn't seen hard use yet so I can't comment on it's ruggedness.

My carry load will be the SPEER 135 gr. Short Barrel .357 mag GDHP. I will be carrying it in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster until my Kramer pocket holster is delivered. So far I really like it and wished I would have purchased a pocket revolver a long time ago. Very soon it will find it's way to Superior Firearms for some needed work.

Nice pics, BTW.

Did you do a night fire with it?

SJ, nice iron and pics there as well. You might want to get a reflector or bounce light source reflecting down on your subjects for your shots, shoot at a higher angle (more overhead) and tighten up the shots on fewer subjects in a single shot. Good job though.

SJ,
I agree with everything TR said about the lighting, but to add... I'm not sure if you have an external flash yet, the little included internal ones suck. Sorry to burst your bubble, they are useless as hell and only blow out the highlights on the subject. If you get an external flash the pictures will look 1000 times better. You'll have an even spread of lighting if you bounce it off the ceiling or wall.

It looks like you used a lot of natural lighting as well, which is awesome, and even natural light can be modified with a reflector or it can be diffused.

What kind of camera did you end up purchasing?

Heres a cool website that discusses lighting. The guy's kind of a genius when it comes to lighting. I really think you learn about half from reading, and the other half from doing. www.strobist.com

But onto my question for you... what size barrel is on the rifle? And could you take a more overhead picture of it? I'd like to see the whole setup.

cszakolczai,

Thanks for the link and advice, I will look into an external flash as well. I settled on a Cannon XSI, I almost got the T1i, but I got a better deal on the XSI. I picked up a 18-55mm, 55-200mm, and Ultra wide angle lenses for it plus a great tripod.

The rifle has a 10.5 inch barrel w/ a surefire scout light and a surefire suppressor.

Personally, I think these photos came out like crap. The ones above where shot in a dark room with only the light from the 2 surefires bouncing off of 4 walls.

TR,

Thank you for the advice I'll shall start my research on reflectors and lighting. I fear this maybe the expensive part of photography...

First off, nice camera, the XSi is a great little camera. If you had a Nikon I could have helped out with the flash situation. Which wide angle did yu get? 10-22? If so thats a sweet sweet lens.

I really like the AR, that is exactly how I want to build mine. Although I think I may go with the 11.5 barell from Del-Ton. Is that a 7" surefire rail as well? Free float or non free float?

If I may be so bold. Bushamster has a history of having tight chambers. If you know of someone in the area that has access to a 5.56 chamber checker from M-guns.net you may want to check it.

Also, they tend to be overgassed due their larger gas ports. So if you are getting a carbine I would look at an H buffer to help mitigate that and reduce the beating up of the carbine. Bravocompanyusa.com has buffers for around 23.00.

Also check that the castle nut and bolt carrier keys have a good staking. I have seen many a Bushamster that had no stakings at all on the castle nut and weak ones on the key screws. I also recommend getting a real Colt copper colored extractor spring and insert.

Well, I picked up my AR. It's a xm15-e2s with a 16" HBAR. I bought the rifle as shown in the picture, but I've taken the bottom off the grip. The grip it's self is a great fit in my hand. I zero'd in the red dot, and even went hog hunting on a lease with it over the weekend. Only thing is I did not see ONE hog. Or anything for that matter. I'm taking it after work to get a trigger job on it, then I'll start making it my own. Just really happy to have one for now!

Took it to Gunsmith #1 who looked it over from several angles and said it looked good. Looks being deceiving I took it to Gunsmith #2 who drooled over it and told me to shoot it but with Managed-Recoil, 125gr rounds as precautionary because of the low serial number issue.

I shot it using the recommended ammo. The little darlin' shoots great at 100yds. I had problems with figuring out the caliper site because of my high stupid exponent. Larry,

Enjoy it, they're helluva great rifles. I have a WW2 vintage 03-A3 from the CMP that shoots less than 1 moa... better than _I_ do, that's for sure! It being a newer rifle, it shoots mil surp 30-06 just fine, but if you indeed have a low serial number 03, then it sounds like you are aware of the proper precautions due to the softer steel....

Gits,

MVP

In my experience with my old SOCOM 16, it was about a 2-3 MOA Gun, if I was lucky it would shoot MAYBE 1.5 MOA. Not to mention the 16.25 barrel does not get full powder burn as opposed to the scouts 18 inch barrel. (I don't reload so I never planned on developing a good load for it) I did a bunch of research and there were quite a fair amount of people with the same issues. Got a buddy who had a SOCOM 16 as well and he was getting around 1.5-2 MOA. Evey once and a while a guy would get able to get 1 MOA out of his gun. Then again It does what it's supposed to, it was really not meant for a precision weapon but I wanted something that could shoot 600-800m a lot more accurately or have the option to shoot distance.

The above is a Sig Sauer 229 S-4 with 4.4" threaded barrel, SRT (short reset trigger), adjustable combat sights and rail system. Got it at the BX for only $875 out the door, brand new! Our unit issues the M-11 as opposed to the M-9, but mine has a slightly larger frame and feels more comfortable to shoot.

The smaller toy is a SKYY 9mm. It's great for the ankle, but the safety is horrible. It is the rear lever and up is safe, down is fire. If not held right, the recoil can force your thumb knuckle to engage the safety after each shot because it is such a small grip. IMHO, it is a piece of junk and will be traded for a real gun.

Good to know about the SKYY, I was looking at them for a BUG. I change my mind everyday it seems, and todays change is dumping my bushmaster carbine upper for a DD Middy w/ a DD 12" quad rail. It's a 16" w/ a 1:7 and an upgraded BCG. Found a great deal on them and will be selling the bushy to offset the cost.

Definately stay away from SKYY!! In a pinch, it will put you in a bad situation. I was at the SHOT show in Vegas and saw many great BUG's. I am particular to Glock and Sigs and was looking at the Sig P220R. We have an indoor range with a wide assortment and I am going to try out different models and will post when I find a good one.

Nice and simple. They started issuing those AFG here at MARSOC. I like them. We teach Students to angle their hand naturally anyway. Only thing I did was add some Skate Board tape for a better grip.

Thank you, I put 100 rounds down it yesterday, and it felt great. As for the AFG, I was sent one by mistake and hated it. I don't know why , but I could not get it to feel right. So I used it to put some rounds down range and something clicked. Since then I've not looked back.

I went with the RVG, and I want to put a flashlight on one of those drop adaptors so the switch should be right by my thumb, have you run a setup like this before? I am trying to stay away from pressure switches. No particularly good reason, I just don't want to use one.

It really is a solid platform. I have the piston version, and decided to see how long I could go without cleaning it ... Got nervous after nearly 1200 rounds and gave it a good scouring last night. Didn't realize how dirty my Fiocchi ammo had been firing! Despite the filth coating the bolt assembly and extractor (and the rest of the BCG to a lesser extent), I never had a single malfunction of any kind, and am confident that it would have continued to blast for some time. Also never gets very hot.

I'd eventually like to get the 12" piston barrel, as it is my only other choice unless I purchase a standard BCG, but there are too many other toys I am coveting right now, so it and the requisite NFA stamp will have to wait.

We ran up to friends in East Palatka this last weekend and I finally had a chance to get to the local range.

Took two of my toys, a S&W CS9, 9mm and my new(to me) S&W Performance Center 945, 45 ACP. Because I wasn't sure of the range rules I only took CI Blazer ammo. I used NRA 50ft TQ-1/1 targets, 1.5 inch bull, at 25 ft distance. These are small-bore rifle targets but work nicely for indoor range pistol. No FTF or any other problems. Both pistols performed flawlessly..

A simple car/boat gun.

Got so used to shooting 14 pound boat anchors that resemble a SHOT show accessorized demo carbine, forgot how nice a basic ~ 6.5 pound rifle feels.

Colt M4LE SBR, heavy SOCOM barrel, BUIS.

Sweet, sweet shooter. Might be the favorite of the collection right now. :D:D

How true, I love the basic stock gun, they are rare these days. You can still get away with a super light rifle, if you add a carbine troy trx extreme battlerail. I like the pic.

The cheek riser is feels pretty good. Although since I'm running the Larue LT-123 rings, it's not as a good cheek wield as I would like. Although if I could get the Crane version which is another half inch higher, it would be perfect. Be careful about getting a CTR riser for an AR style rifle as you will have issues with pulling the charging handle back if your stock is not extended out far enough. Of course Larue just came out with their enhanced CTR Riser which easily fixes that problem.

Thanks for the information. Luckily I always have my stock extended out all the way, but I will look into the Larue version. Thanks for the headsup, and once again very nice rifle. If you ever sell the stock with the riser let me know.

Either my eyes are getting worse in my old age, or the bad guys are hiding their guns better, but 4x just doesn't help with PID as much as it used to. I wanted a scope with a continuous tube diameter to the OBJ lens, but none had the right magnification or brightness for my taste.

The MK18's we had last trip were hitting steel at 600 no problem, so I decided to get more adventurous in what scope I was going to run.

The rest is a Vltor MUR upper, LMT BCG, BCM Gunfighter, Noveske barrel, Troy Extreme Rail and claymore brake. So far so good... I'm building another one with a KX3 and an LWRC barrel, we'll see if it is as nice as this one.

Did you look at the Leupold 1.1-8x? I have tinkered with it but it is far outside my price range.

I agree that 4x isnt really doing, for a tactical shooter, what it should. I am running, or will be soon, a 2.5-10x with a Dr Optics at 1'oclock on a 16" upper for my next trip.

Are you running the Matt Burkett offset? I've been toying with it with a JPoint but others with far more shooting experience than I prefer the Elcan over that setup. Does the sight at 1 O Clock get in the way? We'll see I guess. What do you think about the Elcan?

I'm running the Burkett mount on mine... have had it for almost 2 years now and love it. I don't like the doctor being so high up like those mounted on top of the Elcan or Acog. I think it's more personal than anything, but I like my sights close to the barrel.

Also, I was looking at the 1.1-8 scope... did I misread their specs? It says that scope is 23.2" long... that's insane.

koz

I don't have a spec sheet but I know it's not 23.2" long.... Or at least the one I've used isn't that long.

I wonder who said that? Maybe they had experiences with a Norinco. Norincos have a negative view in the states, but a lot of Canadians like them.

I have shot my Springfield M1A1 out to 1000 M with Iron sights well enough, within a 2 ft x 3 ft target. Maybe they were thinking of 1000 M bench rest competition.

That is one of nicer scopes mounts that I have seen for that rifle. Generally, they are way too high, still looks high. I believe it was a Canadian soldier who sniped a tango in A-Stan (?) at a fairly long distance with one.

Sure, so far it's at 100 yards. Most shots have been w/ Factory 168g SMK, or some handloads I've been working w/ using 167 grain Scenars.
The pic of the rifle w/ the Chrono is a "gong" at 400 yards.

Most of my shooting is done prone, I'll use a bench if I have to run to the range, but I use a private shooting lease in the DFW area to do most of my shooting.

I started to make a thread today on 308 bullet selection and got distracted on other things.

Couple of points to consider.

The Seirra 168 is very accurate for moderate ranges but is not a long range round. The 175 Matchking will stay supersonic past 1K and is very good for competitive shooting. The Sierra 175 Matciking will kill a deer or hog like nobodies business. It is a great hunting bullet.

For competitive 1K shooting most people have moved to the 155.5 Bergers or Scenars. They have the same BC as the 175 SMK but leave the barrel 200 fps faster. You should be around 2900 fps for 1K shooting with the 155s. I have not tried the 155.5 Bergers on animals so I have no opinion on hunting with them.

For powders the most accurate are Varget and IMR4064 with RL17 being used sometimes with the heavier bullets.

For brass, the best is Lapua and the good thing is it needs very little prep. Just load and shoot.

Thanks for the info! I'm still building on the 167 Scenars, I'm up to 2450 FPS, I'd like to get them flying at 2650 out of my 20" barrel. We shot some 155g hunting rounds out of a 26" barrel today.... WOW 3150 from factory hunting .308 ammo. I was impressed by that. Took a few shots w/ my AR as well. 55g FMJs 2950-3000fps 75g TAP was 2650-2700. That's from a 16" DDM4V1

Bob, I load and shoot Sierra for 308, 30-06 and 8mm Mauser..Matchkings all. 30 cals are 175gr and the mauser is 200gr..great loads for 308, still fintuning the 30-06. mausers are running 2570s. All grouping well. Occasionally I load 240 grs 30-06. Kinda like those too. They should be transsonic out to about 1350 meters.

The 1350 meter loads group under .75 MOA @100. The bumped up loads to a 1600meter round didn't group for shit @100...so I'm back to the 1300 meter round.

This one is my favorite and the best 900 bucks I ever spent. Supposed to be a Bench Rifle but is the best Predator rifle I've used. Shoots real well off hand, is well balanced, and makes the hole bigger at 100yrds. The only bummer is its a little light for mt. lion. (no dog hunting)

:D

Nice rig.

Don't worry about paperwork; just shove a spud onto the threads when you need suppression. :D

Nice collection. Lets see what else you have.

MK262,

Not sure if you were directing this to me, but I would be happy to share what I have with any QP or member of this forum. I've been reading all I can and don't think I'm out of line posting here, but if I am feel free to unleash (It's extremely difficult to offend me as I have very thick skin and a lot of respect for all SF/and all non SF soldiers defending my freedom). This is by no means a dare to any QP or member as I've seen TR, TS, NDD (Just to name a few) put many in their place in my short time here. Rest assured, I'm well aware that I'm just a guest in your home and will always thank you for allowing me in.

If your post was to me, those were all FA post samples (Minus the 6920 pictured with the Micro Galil). I have many more to post if it's appropriate, and assure you that I'm not bragging......simply sharing (Most of my best stuff I can demo and keep but will never actually own :().

I started out posting a few foreign weapons in this thread because most civilians, like myself will never get to touch them (I'm just lucky enough to do contract work on the side).

As stated previously, I'm simply a civilian trained to take out paper/cardboard targets that don't shoot back and honored to teach the basics of foreign weapons to those brave enough to protect our freedom (New soldiers getting deployed for the first time....not any QP's/SF/or any other Spec Ops.......I would love to learn from any of you)!

I do try to maintain SA and hope none of you take anything here the wrong way. I simply don't have a lot to contribute and want to give back any way I can.

TS gave me some good advice about a certain range prior to my intro so I'll heed that and still offer anyone in the area (Including you TS :) to hit me up anytime you want to put a few downrange. I'll bring the weapons and ammo you want and you show a paper trained guy like me how it really works.

Ramble off: I will talk weapons with anyone (Always looking to learn) and post any pics I have to anyone interested. I don't have a lot of anything, but a little of everything.

........I really hope I don't get a read more post less reply, but will absolutely comply if I do.

Mike - You're contributing something to the site, you followed the instructions, you're not asking the same questions that have been answered over and over.
I enjoyed the pictures you posted and hope you post some more. Most of us are gun guys and like seeing various toys. I'm pretty sure Mk262 directed his post to you -

Many of my pics were lost on my last computer, but I just took some new ones tonight. I'll post the new pics as soon as I have a chance to reduce their size.

I'll post a few randoms now.

As far as what I feel comfortable posting, I am pretty sure (100% sure actually ;) every government agency knows exactly who I am, what I have, where I live, what I do, Etc. All I'm saying is that I have nothing to hide from them, so I have no reservations sharing them here. In short, I'll steal a quote and say Molon Labe to any "Bad guys" that want to come get them and wish them the best of luck :).

Disclaimer.....I don't consider any QP's or members here to be bad guys, as I do value my life :D.

I'm using the last two pics to let everyone chime in and report what they think they see (Pics are blurry, but I had to go through and inspect each one so they kind of just piled up). Anyone who can identify each one in this seizure gets a prize.

I'll post some more close ups of a few post samples next (Some in the pile) and then move on to other categories (M4's and AR's will be next). Then, 911's, Sigs, Hk's, back ups, shotguns, revolvers, long range, more AK's/AKM's, Etc.

I'll keep posting them until you guys get sick of looking at them or I run out,
so here are a few more for now.....

Go Devil,

That was indeed an unwrapped mess that took hours to inspect and get in order (All before the range testing lol).

As far as a new profession......at 36 I'm a little to old to start over (And I like my job), but do take great pride in the fact that I get to demo these weapons that may help some Soldier or LEO down the road (Even if it's just one person). I want to give back any way I can and this is one way.

Sacamuelas,

Thanks lol......but I'll still be posting more, so I'm ready for more hate ;)

lol rgr that. Have a beefcake safe or two.. I'll post pics tomorrow of my Remington Rand 1911A1 made in 1945 in roughly 95% condition. I doubt the thing has more than a few boxes thru it. Mostly holster wear in the few spots it actually has wear.

Including pics of my H&R M1 Garand & a Winchester 1897 previously owned by Fred Barker. Passed down thru an LE family before they birthed a crackhead and it made its way to open market. I'm working with an era gangster "expert" to track down a more detailed history of the shotgun. The other shotgun in the photo is a Remington 11-A. Wasnt on my "list", but I got a good price. I like it because the 11-A was used prior to WW-2 by the military training crewmen for anti-aircraft guns. They shot clays in AIT to teach the concept of leading a target. Hows that for AIT? Sounds fun!

I wish I was allowed to carry a weapon of my choice when I fly. I tried my best to get permission to carry my MP5-PDW, but they didn't go for it lol :(. Jokes aside, I would love to choose my duty weapon (Definitely wouldn't be the one issued), but I'm just happy to do what I can and I can make due with this weapon ;)

Trigger pull weight and reset are pretty bad...but better than nothing.

An MP5 or 7 (lol) are just about right, though a winged passenger might not agree...;)

Mom & the monsters went to see great-grandma for a couple weeks so I broke out some weapons for a pic in the toy room and do some cleaning at home - usually have to do it elsewhere to get any peace.

Some 5.56s, a 7.62x39, 7.62x51, 22lr, 12ga, & 9mm in one photo. The other 'WMD' photos are the big guns - I really am too old for this crap...

*I had to use a stock photo for my REM 700P TWS, but they all look the same and it's .308*

The fact that the case was too big of a hassle to get to for a pic means I am most certainly well over due for some range time with it.

Here are a couple of SBR's that I recently put together for a friend here locally. Both lowers are from Bravo Company. One has a BCM upper and the other has a Vltor MUR. The MUR is a stronger design and the purpose behind it (based on some testing) was to prevent or minimize upper receiver flex.

One is an 11.5" and the other is 12.5". Both are set up to use an AAC M4-2000 MOD 8 suppressor. Everything else is a personal preference deal.

Here's another that I did for a young AD Marine down in Yuma. He was in the area visiting relatives so I hooked him up while he was visiting. He originally had some POS Samson rail on his AR. He wanted to install a Troy rail and didn't want a screwed on gas block. So I cut and shaved the FSB to fit under the rail.
