Not only are there millions of watch face permutations, but some are useful.

I selected a standard chronometer-looking face and selected 3 built-in apps for the corners.

upper left: ECG < logged to my watch
upper right: Oximeter < visible as it's measured
lower center: heart rate < you can see the latest results on the face
