If you believe all the numbers, you have to wonder...
...why were so many people at Fort hood fired for leadership failures while so many people at Fort Bragg keep getting promoted?
I mean, I don't really wonder.
I have my own thoughts on the "why"...
...they just wouldn't be suitable for posting on an internet bulletin board.

Are they leadership failures if you get your subordinates to bury or obfuscate the results to reflect unknown causes?
I'm betting most leadership would give a good eye to go back to a wartime footing, where you were actually being rated on data that was at least somehow reflective of mission/deployment data no matter how granular.
Glad I'm retired....

Holy Shiite!!! I felt guilty because so many of us were borderline alcoholics in the 80’s. These numbers are crazy. What the hell has happened to the Army?

For as much "house cleaning" supposedly done at Ft Hood, its still a shit show according to the folks I know down there. Once again, lots of lessons recorded and put away, very few lessons learned.

Rolling Stone Article...
‘These Kids Are Dying’ — Inside the Overdose Crisis Sweeping Fort Bragg
In a nutshell...
A staggering total of 109 soldiers assigned to Fort Bragg died in 2020 and 2021. Dozens have lost their lives there to drug overdoses.
Overdose from Counterfeit pills laced with fentanyl
Delta Operators found murdered in the woods...
...the same guy that murdered 'his friend' a few months prior
An LSD induced beheading
Spouse abuse
Child abuse
Sexual assaults
Drug addiction
Drug trafficking
Dramatic rise in suicides
Fort Bragg (and army leaders in general) blame it on "trends in the general population" because apparently, that's what everyone is doing these days...
It's TOTALLY not because of the wildly mismanaged pandemic, treating Soldiers like fucking morons and destroying careers for questioning 'the jab', irresponsible and lackadaisical mismanagement of the Afghanistan withdrawal, and a constant din from the resident of the united states all the way down to brigade level leaders telling soldiers they they are racists and extremists and must have those traits 'briefed out of them' before its too late.
If we can just change the name of the post to something less offensive, everything should return to normal because as of right now, "no other base has ever recorded a higher two-year suicide toll"
It's almost like the Pygmalion Effect is a real thing - studied by...
...science
...but NOPE - nothing to see here - move along - its just a national trend
I have spoken

Box - spot on. Might I also suggest twenty years of interminable and stupid war(s) that we had no intention of winning.
"Yeah sorry (not) your best buddy was killed in (insert name of some bullshit, forsaken crap-hole here _______), now STFU and get your stuff ready we're deploying again. Gotta freedom these stupid phuckers."
