When does Tulsi Gabbard declare herself a Republican?
At what point in this whole sorted mess, does Tulsi Gabbard the Democrat from Hawaii and a member of the National Guard who served in multiple tours in the Middle East, declare herself no longer a member of the Socialist Democratic Party currently running the country?
I have no faith or support for Tammy Duckworth or many other faithfuls in the party of “me” but...
What do you say, comments and opinions welcome.

That could be a reality. I know of two politicians at the local and state level here that did that very thing. In fact, they *changed* to Democratic to run. Conservative all day long, but Democrat on paper. Politics are true theater....

She's no longer in office....
I think our ridiculous and corrupt (illegal) 2-party PAC system forces people to make a choice in order to get money....
A majority are centrist
The fact that Gabbard's presidential bid was attacked and destroyed by her own party is quite interesting

When she supports the 2nd amendment, wholly, and without restrictions. When she works for the repeal of the 1934 NFA, the 1968 NFA, AND, the Reagan 1986 weapons ban.
She doesn’t need to make it her priority, but she should support the whole 2nd amendment.

She is a left wing democrat - she just happens to be a left wing democrat that was willing to call Obama on his refusal to say "Islamic Extremism"
Her foreign policy is all over the map - loves to demand that someone do something - wails and protests when we shoot someone.
She protested the Dakota pipeline - she has nefarious positions on the 2nd Amendment.
People are amazed because she has actually stood by her feelings on free speech. Democrats usually wail about it until they are in a position to suppress it.
Make no mistakes she is a liberal. Its a sign of the times when we can look at such a democrat and think "she's almost a republican"
I would opine she may lean to the right of her party, she is still less republican than the ever virtuous senator from Youtall - Milt Robney
not by much but still...........

Hell, in the current mindset of the elite, she could be classified as a right wing extremist. As I saw somewhere today, they think anyone to the right of Lenin and Marx is a right wing extremist.

I am of the opinion that Tulsi has gotten more comfortable and less overwhelmed by politics. She was talking the party line at first but it seems she is maturing into the job and has had her eyes opened to the evils of the left. The fact that she has chsracterize the radicals as the totalitarians/fascist they are is promising. She is more liberal thab leftist and it seems more center left than liberal. We must keep in mind that Hawaii is hardcorps Democrat and if she is deviating from what the Hawaii constituents she will have to pull them center or run on the hot agenda of the Dems. there which is globalist....OR leave her home state.
I am not hard right in many areas I am liberal and in others Center R.....Centrist if I had to choose 1 word.. time will tell as dhe sits in office and votes on bills.

Box.. You lost me on the Dakota pipeline - 2nd Amendment statement... I'm assuming two different issues.
I'll also challenge you on immediate fall-back to the (illegal and bullshit) two party system.
What if (Fucking OMG) someone chose to have an opinion outside of or that wasn't pure to the structure?
Isn't that what you're all about? Or is it all about the parenthetical?

Good point....I forgot she did run for a chance at the POTUS
My point on maturation in the political world still stands...I think she came into politics idealistic and was overwhelmed at first she has since had a chance to breathe and look at her party more objectively.....she does not seem to be OK with the socialist direction we are going

I agree, I have watch her moves for the past few years. My thinking was POTUS in the OS school of Southern Democrat, social liberal, but a financial conservative. Also, her service is a heavy plus, she knows the real cost.
If there is to be a first women, elected by the people, that can express her ethnic heritage as a true advantage +1, if that person took the oath and sign the dotted line +1, if that person has shown a sense pf pragmatic growth. I'm pricing saddles.

Dakota pipeline and 2d just two different issues - poor sentence structure on my part lumped them together.
The fall-back on the two party system by suggesting that she has to be either democrat or republican was more to illustrate an earlier comment that her seemingly overt break with the increasingly radicalized democrat party might suggest that she was slowly morphing into a republican.
The root of my post was meant to highlight that people seem fascinated with Tulsi Gabbard because she chose to have an opinion outside of mainstream democratic circles. Again - poor word choice on my part.

I actually wish she had stayed in the House and after all the election dust settled she simply switched party affiliations like that guy in New Jersey - who BTW got re-elected as a Republican in a strong Democratic town. I guess the town still liked him.
P.S. I don’t like the two party situation any better than the next person who is not a “Republican” or an “Democrat” and since “liberals” are now centrists again maybe I can go back to calling myself a conservative libertarian without being lumped into a niche group of voters who don’t ‘identify’ as “Independent.”
My only reason to start the thread was that she keeps coming further out against her “party’s” hard left direction and calling a spade a spade now more so then since she ran as a centrist liberal. And, yes Box, her foreign policy objectives showed just how un-electable she was, but I’d rather have her in the WH than either of the two there now.
Plus, have you seen her in a bikini?
