question about joining

hello,
i'm a 29y\o and i'm at a point in my life where i have a burning desire to join the army and help defend my country....my question is this:
1)how common is it for someone my age to join

2)if i join at this age, would i ever have a shot at SF or Rangers or is there an age limit and how long do you have to be enlisted before you could possibly start SF training if you meet the qualifications...

thanks for your help

Jgunn-

Read, and research, this site -including the stickies- before posting questions that are not well thought out. Age only matters to the individual. As far as how common it is or isn't...ask what difference will it make in your decision.

Sorry , but this one had to go here. By the time someone is 29 they should know how to use capitalization in a sentence; if you're too lazy to use the shift key then you are too lazy for the Army.

They should also have enough SA to READ THE FOOKING STICKIES!
