A desperate quest for answers
Hello.
I was hoping to be able to talk with someone who has "been there - done that" as I have already exhausted my patience for those that have just an opinion or a loyalty.
I hope to find out what combatives... unarmed fighting, unarmed against weapon (edged)as well as weapon (meelee?) fighting training that special forces receive.
I am NOT talking about hollywood, I am not talking about "dojo" fighting nor am I talking about tradtional (uselessly "form" adhering) fighting.
I AM talking about what would keep a person alive and (wonder of wonders) conquering...in a - "on the street", multiple opponents, "while I am sick or wounded", I am bare handed and they have knives or bottles or pipes or any kind of "I am disadvantaged" situation.
I AM talking about against larger, stronger or faster opponents and well rounded on the ground or on the feet and inbetween situations. I AM talking also about over within seconds to a minute.... no jockeying around for an arm- bar while he is severing your achilles tendon with his knife in the other hand.
I also AM talking about pressure points that work and joint manipulation as well as target focus. I am also referring to ranged fighting...puch and kick related as well as "how do I fight this guy ...he is in WAY to close to strike with hand or foot"... I guess that would be elbows and knees etc. Not to mention submissions/incopacotations (ground and standing).
If a kind - special forces - soul can be in touch with recomendations b/c of something that has kept him alive... I would be forever grateful. Feel free to contact me via email. love2worshiphim@hotmail.com
Thanks.

We are just as desperate to find people who follow simple instructions, read the titles that say "READ ME FIRST". Fill out their profile before posting, and place their first post in the appropriate thread.
If we could just find those people...this board would be a nicer place for everyone.

Good luck with the Force, Lois.

Did you really expect a serious reply to that post? (not to mention that email address?) And not reading the rules, etc.

Jeeze Louis. You sound like thousands of other little pricks that want something handed to them.
If you can't use the search button to find your answer, how do you think you'll have the time or patients to properly learn the techniques involved in joint locks and manipulations, ground fighting, close and distance fighting, armed and unarmed fighting, etc.
For your information, Army combatives are dirived from that usless dojo fighting that you so despise. Like quite a few others on this board, I am one of those useless dojo fighters and am offended that you would pop in here and start shooting off your mouth. As an Instructor, I laugh at your stupid 'me' attitude and as a Moderator I am going to be all over your silly ass until you get it right.
And by the way, everything you want to know is posted right here on this board in plain sight.

No, sometimes, it takes the up close and personal approach.
Like BDA.
