Ukraine to receive 1,550 armored personnel carriers and 230 tanks.

NATO allies and partner countries have delivered more than 98% of the combat vehicles promised to Ukraine during Russia's invasion and war.

That's a lot of iron right there folks. I hope they have enough power now to take the Crimea back.

It's just an observation but the one thing that Russia has that very few of our allies posses is the resource, ability, and most importantly, the stomach - to mobilize. Sure, we are spending shit tons of money in military aid to "protect democracy" but who is "really" going to operate that equipment to its true potential?

That shit may as well be a stack of "Timber Tote" campfire logs from Lowes...
...simple
...clean
...safe for cooking

But hey, who cares, right? The defense industry is making a bundle as our taxes and cost of living continues to climb as we piss it away on a proxie war that could have (and should have) been contained almost a decade ago.

We certainly don't have the ability to 'mobilize' - not any more. We tried to do it for World War 1 - we couldn't - not without some concessions...
We had to "bribe" a bunch of racist democrats by allowing them to name military installations after failed confederate celebrities - only then did the machine really start moving.

We did it in World War 2 because we drafted people under the threat of being forced to learn how to speak Japanese.
"Hey you - come here - take this gun and go shoot all of the mother fuckers that aren't dressed like us."
Then we called them the greatest generation as they came home and gave birth to the Clinton's, Pelosi's, Bush's, Biden's, McConnell's, McCain's, Schumer's, and Cheney's

We did it in Vietnam and it turned the country on its head as people burned their draft cards, fled to Canada, joined college to take philosophy classes, quit boxing, planted bombs, and rioted in the streets.

Now we have data that shows that almost half of the Americans polled would refuse to fight for our country should we be faced with a situation like the Ukrainians are facing.

The rest of the world can't even be counted on to pay their fair share of the bill for the operations being conducted by NATO or peacekeeping operations being conducted by the 'UNited' Nations.

The end result - back room deals with multinational conglomerates that profit from taxpayer dollars to pay for shit that is funneled through third, forth, and fifth parties to fight a proxy war for a nation that only seeks to profit from our corrupt political system.

The Russians simply empty their jails and say "go get em boys - or you can die in prison" while the rest of us "selectively judge" the atrocities that are "only" being conducted by our enemies.
Meanwhile, the biggest threat to the liberties and freedoms inside the USA over the last 5 or 6 decades always seems to emanate from inside of I-495.

What do we do?
We give money away. We "give" it to defense contractors that sell us stuff that we "give" away in the form of 'aid'
Meanwhile - our ridiculous 'sanctions' have reached a point where Russia is now making more money from their exports than they did before this all started.
We pay mercenaries.
...sorry, I meant we pay consulting fees to defense contractors that provide armed security contractors from their subsidized Private Military Companies.

I say again - we do NOT pay mercenaries - I misspoke - that would be in direct contravention of the UN Mercenary Convention. We do NOT hire mercenaries - we hire military consultants that train and supplement the official armed forces of other governments - for profit.
...they ARENT mercenaries.

We are not in a proxy war. We do not use mercenaries. Epstein killed himself. Joe won; fair and square.
Now lets all go have a slice of Ferrari cake because "Diddy didn't do it"
...yet

That is all.

This! There are many reasons why individuals would refuse to fight for their country. This one you have mentioned, would be the reason why many in the past who did, would decline to do so now. I believe many people are just growing disillusioned with the course that America has chosen to take. IMO.
