Question WILL START 18D SOON

hello
I got selected on the last class 05-06 of SFAS. I got Spanish for language and 18 d for MOS is good that I already speak the language because i can concentrate in the medical part. But I have no past experience in the medical field and would like prepare as much as posible before i go to q course. Any references or books that can help me? Thanx and pardon my spelling

Post again in all caps and you will be gone.
Learn to spell or risk me calling the 7th Gp CSM to get you enrolled into elementary school.

Hold on there Sparky

You have a lot to learn.
Take the following steps if you want to be considered seriously around here:

1. READ THE STICKY'S
2. Post an INTRODUCTION in the appropriate thread
3. Use capitalization, sentence structure, and punctuation.
4. The Puerto Rican language may give you a leg up in theater, but English is going to be what gets you through the Q course.

As far as preparing for the 18D course-
AFTER you have done the above...use the search button, then tell us what you are going to do to prepare.

1. Read all of the stickies and intros here.

2. Your next post needs to be an intro in the proper place.

3. Use the "Search" button in the upper right hand cortner before asking any more questions.

4. Use proper grammar and punctuation to the best of your abilities. DO NOT TYPE IN ALL CAPS HERE.

5. Lack of situational awareness, deficient attention to detail, and laziness are not good attributes to have in SF. Your training may be longer and more diffucult because of that.

Have a very SF day.

TR

P.S. - Beat me to it, Doc. Well done.

Blastard,

I received your PM...if you are absolutely serious that you "cannot find THE STICKY'S", and you are in fact scheduled to go to the 18D course-you may want to SERIOUSLY consider the following in preparation for your medical training:

1. studying on conventional and improvised demolitions, engineering, and building construction

or (if that doesn't appeal to you)

2. Unit composition, squad and platoon tactics, weapons of third world countries as well as their break down, assembly, and function, as well as basic and advanced marksmanship

I will also tell you that just because the 18D course has been renamed by some to be the 18B / 18C preparatory course...NEITHER of these additional avenues of training are by any means easier, or any less important, than the 18D course.
You have passed Selection-time to start acting like it.

Read more, post less. I am surprised that you made it through selection and yet cannot find the stickies at the top of the threads.

You have been here one day. It will take you significantly more time than that to find and read all of the stickies, post your intro, and read all of the threads that have answers to your questions.

We all have lives and are not here to fetch you personal responses on a silver plate. The info you seek is here, find it. Do not ask questions that you can find the answers to yourself if you want to continue to be allowed to post here.

The staff here is SF and if you think that we are rude or intolerant, I can't wait till you meet your next instructors.

NTM - Instructors are the interns of the Team Sergeant development program. Too many students/responsibilities, not enough resources, and way too much work. If you survive them then you can have a TS who will dedicate lots of personal attention to molding you to fit. FWIW - Peregrino
