Quite frankly - that has been some of the worst trial-lawyering I've seen...on BOTH sides. Not sure what they call themselves but they are NOT polished litigators.

This would have been two days in a military court-room; and would have been one hell of a lot fairer trial to the defendant. A military judge would have tossed it the moment assclown commented on KR's Constitutional right to remain silent.

I suspect Kyle's team is happy getting an acquittal rather than a mistrial.

Flash to bang

How long before Rittenhouse files a motion for return of the weapon?

Binger is a University of Michigan grad, which is supposed to be a top-flight law school. His pursuit of Rittenhouse's invocation of a constitutional right to remain silent was just fucked up. Secondly, pointing a weapon, WITH HIS FINGER IN THE TRIGGER HOUSING inside the courtroom, was another fuck-up that you don't have to have a J.D. to know is a clown-show move of the first order. So, NO, they were not "equally bad".

ATF is likely to exercise purview over that as evidence in their persecution of Dominick Black.

When the defamation suit(s) gets done, as well as when he's clear of the likely civil suits coming his way, he'll be able to afford anything that Daniel Defense might have on offer.

I'm with JimP though. I didn't want to jinx anything but there were things also that the defense team could've done to make it even clearer, like interviewing a few police officers and get one on the stand to ask them how they view, and what their response would be, to a gun grab. Every cop I've ever known considers such an act attempted murder. The guy they billed as a "use of force" expert ended up just being a video geek with a silver goatee.

I'm extraordinarily glad for Kyle. I wish the immunity from civil action in WI law that applies to home, car, business also applied to "being where one has a right to be." I'd imagine there will be some civil suit faeries tuning up in the orchestra pit.

Finally, lest I forget due consideration to Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, and District Attorney Gravely, and any other straphangers who sought to chill the right of a person to defend their life...
FUCK YOU.

Thank you & good night.

Question from the peanut gallery:

Is he good to go now or can the feds come after him still?

Good question. I think he's good to go. They are going to try (as of last week before verdict) to get a straw-purchase conviction on his buddy. But they have a stretch to do that because Kyle didn't take possession of the gun, he just paid for it, friend kept it, he used it in WI on range trips, and then it stayed with friend. But it's the AFT so who knows.
