Running the Mountains as Preparation

Training up for Selection- OK, I have looked at all the ways people get physically prepared for selection and SF Training. Personally, I was a basketball player through high school and college. I also did a lot of swimming in the Summer, so I was fairly fit as a youngster. BUT, if I was preparing now, I would load up a ruck and follow Jake, the mountain lion hunter on the TV program "Mountain Men". That sonuvagun runs up and down the mountains in Montana chasing his dogs which are chasing mountain lions, in the snow. It is not unusual for him to do ten or fifteen miles up and down the mountains. He has to be one of the fittest people I have ever seen....

His predecessor, Rich Louise was not a slouch either and he's 67YO

PS: Jason Hawk (the knife maker on the show) has mentioned his dad is SF. He mentioned it a couple of times while making a blade in the indigenous style of the Hmong.
