I'm now only getting about 2.5 dips per can of chew. What does this mean?

the answer is almost always: 7 more trucks.

Figure out your "chew consumption rate," both max and min; then figure days of supply (DOS) needed; then carry the moon phase into the sea state divided by the humidity. Then just add 7 trucks., Always works.

Personally,
I think you are underestimating the viscosity of the DOS.
I would suggest at least 8 trucks enumerated in a East-West concentric flow.
