My favorite jewish deli

stopped selling it due to cost. I loved it. Solid meat, no hunks of fat. Enjoy.

It was excellent!

Had pasta (my wife was hedging her bet in case the family didn't like the tongue) and the beef tongue. We used a recipie found at "cooks.com" while searching on Italian beef tongue...(I searched again for "tuna tonna" and still only came up with Chef Penn's post about the sexual uses of said tongue!

My kids (3 and 12) thought it was "Okay, but not great". I think that they didn't like the texture (nothing radical... just the texture of boiled meat) but probably the flavors were a little complex for them (the sauce was a red wine sauce.. and we simmered the tongue in it for a bit until the pasta was done).

I will definately get more tongue when we order another beef.
