You got me thinking, going way back. 79-80 I was working the Contingency Rm piece of the Puzzle Palace Comm Ctr. 3 other comrades & I shared a rented house out in tumbleweed-infested Woodbridge. So we had hostages & international intrigue & back-channel TTY circuits from multiple "allies" being manually nursed along. But life was good, we could still smoke in there & the pneumatic tubes mostly worked. And TS SPECAT traffic with enough other warning notices on it that would choke a Clydesdale. I distinctly remember getting home one night, grabbing a beer & flopping down in a chair next to a buddy who was watching one of the all-night talking heads. And right there, I listened to traffic I had just secured in the safe, indiv copies numbered, yadayada. We just kinda looked at each other & he went to grab some more beer.

Shit hasn't changed in 50 years, probably more.
Just the delivery mechanism is new & improved.

His speeches are actually pretty easy to follow because he is the very essence of a low brow SITCOM from the 80's and 90's.
Just imagine imagine one of his recent speeches mildly re-framed in the context of a 20 or 30 year old SITCOM....
