A Special Bottle For A Special Breed......
Anyone see the 60th Anniversary of Special Forces Commemorative Bottle of Jack Daniel's in the Drop ........... I'm thinking of possibly getting one but don't know anyone at Ft.Bragg that would pick it up for me and ship it since they stated in the ad that someone could pick it up for me but shipping it is not availale........

IIRC, the reason that they do not ship is because it is illegal to ship alcohol through the USPS.
I think the same law applies to other carriers.
Probably a revenue issue.

Could they not be shipped to a licensed vendor in another state? In the 80's, I could ship wine from the German Edward Kroth winery on the Mosel to my home town in NY, if I had a licensed vendor willing to take them. And $ was a big issue, including applicable taxes, the vendor's fee, etc., etc. It did cost, but for the late season wines, it was worth it to us.

Federal and state liquour laws are undecipherable! There is a bill before Congress that will ban small wineries from shipping wines to wine club members - brought forward by large liquor distributors. Our country is becoming, to quote Woody Allen, "a mockery of a sham"...

I do shipping for a living and unfortunately you cannot ship this through any of the carriers even if you are shipping to say a business with a license.
We constantly have to turn customers away that want to ship wine and such.

I ship alcohol all the time. As far as I can tell, no one ever checks the stuff or cares. I don't tell them what's in the package.
