You might be a redneck if...

Your smoker used to be a filing cabinet...

The owner/builder lives within 200 yards of me. He had this in front of his house until his wife got home.

That's pretty darn cool. I've heard of guys making them out of old refrigerators and metal trash cans but I've never seen a file cabinet put to good use like this. I'm digging it.

I have one very similar to that, but I painted it RealTree Cammo.

MVP, I copied the pictures and sent them to a couple of chefs I know, they want one! I think there may be an opportunity here to manufacture and sells these online. The unit appears very efficient, portable, low maintenance, and cost effective. Especially, when you consider the used office furniture market.
You think your neighbor would be interested?

What is inside looks tasty. I am not sure but it appears that might be a fire proof file cabinet? If so I have two someone can have, the problem is they weigh 900lbs each

New Project

I asked about setting up FC smoker production but the builder told me he is too busy with development of a Lateral Filing Cabinet Rotisserie.

Very original idea.

When I had my place out in the country my neighbor made one out of an old sheet metal tool cabinet that he bought from a salvage yard. Worked great too.
