General Information about the AOR

Although dominated by the Middle East, this AOR includes several other regions on the periphery of the Middle East. For our purposes, it corresponds to the AOR of the U.S. Central Command.

The following countries and regions are included here:

The Horn of Africa and adjacent African countries:

• Djibouti
• Egypt
• Eritrea
• Ethiopia
• Kenya
• Somalia
• The Sudan

The Seychelles, an island state in the Indian Ocean, is also included here. Other island states of the Indian Ocean, such as Mauritius and the Comoros, are included under "Asia" as they are in the AOR of the U.S. Pacific Command.

• Lebanon
• Oman
• Qatar
• Saudi Arabia

South Asia:
