RCMP Converts Islam Convert to Worm Food

Good job, Mounties! However, as usual, he was "known to authorities.

Aaron Driver, terror threat suspect, killed in confrontation with police
Driver's family told RCMP shot the ISIS supporter after he detonated a device, injuring himself and 1 other

CBC News has confirmed that Aaron Driver, a suspect being sought in connection with a terror threat, has been killed in a confrontation with police in Strathroy, Ont.

A family member confirmed the death of the 24-year-old.

CBC News has learned that Driver's family was told by the RCMP that police shot Driver after he detonated a device that injured himself and another person. The family was also told Driver had another device that he was going to detonate, which is why police shot him.

A senior police official told Canadian Press Wednesday the suspect allegedly planned to use a bomb to carry out a suicide bombing mission in a public area but was killed in a police operation.

The RCMP were conducting an operation in a residential southwestern Ontario neighbourhood of Strathroy on Wednesday evening after it said credible information of a potential terrorist act was received earlier in the day.

"A suspect was identified and the proper course of action has been taken to ensure that there is no danger to the public's safety," according to an RCMP statement

"As this is still an unfolding matter and that the investigation is still underway, we are not able to provide further comment at this time," the RCMP said.

ISIS supporter on peace bond

Driver, a known ISIS supporter, agreed to the conditions of a peace bond in a Winnipeg court earlier this year after being arrested in June 2015. By agreeing to the peace bond, Driver was "consenting or acknowledging that there are reasonable grounds to fear that he may participate, contribute — directly or indirectly — in the activity of a terrorist group."

Outstanding!

I like this part..

"A suspect was identified and the proper course of action has been taken to ensure that there is no danger to the public's safety," according to an RCMP statement

The Left got it right about this guy over a year ago:

The Manitoba Association of Rights and Liberties believes it is outrageous that a former London resident is facing 25 separate bail conditions without being charged with a crime.

The 23-year-old must be monitored electronically around the clock, cannot own a computer, and must undergo religious counselling. He also cannot possess any objects with Islamic State words or symbols on them or to communicate with any members of those groups.

“This is a person — a Canadian citizen — who has not been charged with a crime … and yet he’s going to be subject to 24/7 GPS monitoring,” association president Corey Shefman said Monday.

“This is Canada and a judge has just told this man that he must receive counselling from a religious leader. That, frankly, is outrageous.”

Religion of "Peace". "Peace" bond. Apparently, that word doesn't mean the same thing to both parties.

hats off and prayers out to his dad, an honorable man

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmont...eaks-1.3717517

Less than 24 hours after his son died during a confrontation with police in Strathroy, Ont., Driver made it clear he does not fault police for what happened.

"I'm sure they gave him every ample opportunity to surrender. Aaron chose the path that he chose and I do not blame the RCMP whatsoever for having to end his life."

Before he was killed, Aaron made a martyrdom video stating his intention to carry out an attack at a "highly populated" area.

His father said police acted in the only way they could.

"What if there had been a bomb in the house and he was going to blow up the neighbourhood? Who knows? They don't know. Only Aaron knew. So, ultimately, if I was to blame anyone, I would blame Aaron."

Painful admission for a father to make!

I truly admire his courage to do so and say what had to be said. What he did is rarely found in today's environment.
