I guess that the Speaker of the House of Representatives probably doesn't have security cameras as part of a suitable home security system covering ingress routes to their home.
An important public figure would have a security system.

Then, of course, I swear I saw something that had a police report that BOTH men had hammers and the attack took place in front of police officers.

There was, right afterward, a witness that stated such. That was hammered (unknown if same hammer) into oblivion by a compliant media. She vanished. And the FBI has determined that any witness statements are classified for 66 years.

ATF has not commented as to whether the hammer(s) is/are "ghost" hammers, or whether the mandatory test nail initially hammered after manufacture and sent to the vast respository of test nails has borne investigative fruit.
