AXIL in ear hearing protection

Does anyone have any experience with AXIL in ear hearing protection (Either wired or wireless version). I don’t need comms and they have a buy a set, get a set free Black Friday sale. Any input appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

I've been curious about those myself. A salesman in the gun department at Bass Pro wore them all them the time, he had hearing damage from the war and he said the noise canceling feature help him hear while helping customers.

I have a difficult time hearing my youngest higher pitch voice. However if I have my Apple AirPods in or my noise canceling Howard Leight ear pro on I have no problem.

My hesitation with the Axil's would be how tight a fit they have in the ear canal because I rarely get a good fit with any mass produced ear tips or plugs.

One of my RSO's uses them and likes them.

I use the Howard Leight version without any issue at all. I like the noise amplification and blocking. I like the connect to Bluetooth as well.

Battery life on the HL is good for a full day on the range as well. I believe the Axil are pretty close to the same.

various ear tips for comfort as well with mine.

HTH.

I have been using Tetra Customshields for three years while waterfowling and shooting skeet. Custom fit to my ears great battery life. It’s amazing what I was not hearing in the field as these are amplified and tuned to my hearing loss. I wear hearing aids normally.

Thanks for the reply’s.

I think I’m going to try them out after reading more reviews, and go with the version that has a cord connecting them. At $200 (Buy one get a second free) so $100, seems like a no brainer. I’ve been using Sordin’s with the neckband for years and no complaints other than the occasional cheek weld interference in certain positions and they do get hot eventually in the AZ heat after a while. My buddy is going to pick up the second pair so I’ll report back after I have a little time with them.

Thanks again,

Mike
