anyone know Eduardo J. Ricart?
Info is below, should have been 3/7 in the mid 80's in Panama. Thought it was odd that he only had 6 years AD and was an officer.
##Eduardo J. Ricart
President / CEO
Ed has 30 years experience in management of international (fortune 1000) companies in a broad array of roles, primarily specializing in international business development and business security. Ed has developed and implemented business development plans throughout Western and Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Asia. He has established and run businesses in Mexico City, Manila, Lisbon, Madrid, Vienna and Prague. Although he began his career in sales and marketing, since 1997, Ed has specialized in the international defense and security industry, with a particular concentration on European defense and security.
Ed served almost six years in the U.S. Army and, while serving in U.S. Army Special Forces, was responsible for establishing and running training and advisory programs throughout Central and South America. Ed has a BA in Political Science from San Jose State University, where he graduated as a Distinguished Military Scholar. He also earned an MBA from California State University, Dominguez Hills

Don't know him ... he was after my time. But, from the information you provided it appears that his source of commission might have been ROTC which would have resulted in most cases in a Reserve commission. When I was in ROTC in the sixties a commission would have required a defined period of service on AD, especially if the graduate was a recipient of a ROTC scholarship. Under DOPMA, he could have resigned his commission after the conclusion of any scholarship requirements, much the same as a West Point graduate.
Thoughts?

Thanks UWOA,
I was a private at the time and didn't know shit, having an O on an ODA and completing his time in less than 6 years would not seem possible during the 90's or today.

Agree, probably ROTC,,
and I'll wager a guess, he my have been in the Bn S-2 shop or MI attached, based on the establishing and running training and advisory programs
Not sure how the promo tables were run in the 80t'y,, but with less than 6 yrs,, he may have been an 03??

Sorta rings a bell
I was in A-3-7 from '85-'87 and the name kind of rings a bell, but I couldn't say for sure.
