Not a motto, but had a license plate once that read:

Special Forces..
Penetrate deeper,
last longer,
and carry a heavier load.
Be Unconventional.
Doit different.

Here's a couple we used on a team.

Smith and Wesson beats four aces.
Nothing is impossable to the man who doesn't have to do it. (The last one applied mostly to SITCA missions. If you've ever planned one you know. Blitz

A friend of mine had this on his business card:
IF YOU FIGHT FOR MONEY YOU'RE A MERCENARY

IF YOU FIGHT FOR FREE YOU'RE SADISTIC

IF YOU FIGHT FOR BOTH YOU'RE SPECIAL FORCES

Had another friend who, when he learned the VC had a price on his head had a dashed line tattooed around his neck with "cut along dotted line". Last I saw him he was still intact

A saying

To quote Cpt Baker, TL of 723 7th Group 1977-78 preparing for a trip to Korea. "I just bought a lot of super light weight equipment for the field" then the quote changed slightly, two days into the mountains to, "F*#k this...300lbs of super light shit". at which time he tried to "give" it to team members. Needless to say the young Cpt learned the real meaning of packing light. Blitz
Anyway the motto being "pack light freeze at night". Blitz

to Pete

What you said certainly accounts for the reason our team had a two year E&E plan. blitz

How about-

"Lo que sea, cuando sea, donde sea"
"You learn more in the whore bar in 30 minutes than the agency guys have known for the past year"
"Whatever the embassy tells you to not eat, eat it. Wherever the embassy tells you not to go, go there. Whenever the embassy tells you a road is closed, drive on it."

SF Motto

Greetngs,* have been here in a while.* My first thought are the words on our regimental crest, "De Oppreso Liber,"* Free From Oppression. All the rest is hard core BS. In my opinion of course Walt:

My old team motto was "Jesteś nigdy sam" in Polish( You're never alone).

Current motto is along the same lines but latin "Nunquam Unus"

Our motto in 3rd GRP used to be:

"Hard times don't last but hard men do"

I heard that an EO complaint forced a change to this.

My motto now is:

"I'm getting too old for this...... this is going to hurt...AHHHHHHHH!!"
