This AOR is not the same as Asia in a geographic sense (which would include most of the Middle East), but corresponds to the AOR of the United States Pacific Command. A map of the AOR is available

For convenience's sake, the region may be divided into the following sub-regions:
East Asia:

South Asia and the Indian Ocean:

This region also covers various island states in the Indian Ocean: Comoros, Madagascar, Maldives and Mauritius. Although South Asia conventionally includes Pakistan and Afghanistan, these are included under "Middle East" as they are in CENTCOM's AOR.
