SFC (R) Dave Butler

Received sad news this week, SFA Chapter 62 member SFC (R) Dave Butler has passed away.

Dave was a former 7th SFG 18C with an EOD background, and was one of the most knowledgeable demo men I ever worked with. We were on demo committee with Ernie at the same time, had a lot of good times together.

I had not seen him for a couple of months, not unusual, but the word came out that he had been admitted to the hospital this past Sunday for unknown reasons and passed mid-week.

RIP, hermano, prayers out.

Thank you for your service and your friendship throughout our time together.

Let this be a lesson that you never know when you have said goodbye and shared a drink for the last time.

DOL, amigo. See you on the other side.

TR
