SFC (R) Dave Butler
Received sad news this week, SFA Chapter 62 member SFC (R) Dave Butler has passed away.
Dave was a former 7th SFG 18C with an EOD background, and was one of the most knowledgeable demo men I ever worked with. We were on demo committee with Ernie at the same time, had a lot of good times together.
I had not seen him for a couple of months, not unusual, but the word came out that he had been admitted to the hospital this past Sunday for unknown reasons and passed mid-week.
RIP, hermano, prayers out.
Thank you for your service and your friendship throughout our time together.
Let this be a lesson that you never know when you have said goodbye and shared a drink for the last time.
