Guide to Self-Sufficiency

Found this in hard copy back before Gore invented the internet, and find it a good reference for considering how to develop a mindset of self-sufficiency. Homesteading is something a person can do, but extrapolating these notions and suggestions into a less rural and more urban setting is not out of the realm of planning. Self-sufficiency is a mindset. This is a planning guide. Another worthwhile guide would be for canning (traditionally and via freezer bags). Hope this helps.

Countryside Magazine

Countryside Magazine is hard to find on a bookstore rack, but is a good magazine for homesteaders and those trying to be more self-sufficient. I've been a subscriber for > 15 years and have not regretted it. I've shared gift subscriptions with family & friends and all have found it a good addition.

Self-sufficiency is a mindset and no one approach meets everyones development and planning needs. Hope this helps, too.

I only had time to skim through it quickly but that looks like an incredible resource.

I’ll definitely be saving the PDFs. Thanks.

Excellent resource.

Thanks!
