ODA 15 UWO

Hello, Ramon here I was the team Sgt of ODA 15 from 1974 thru 1977. We had the best Scuba team in Special Forces. Bo Gritz was the Bn CO. Would like to hear from anyone who was at Gulick at that time or later

Ramon, just joined forum and saw this old post.
I was w/ 3/7 @ Gulick '79-82. Prior to "turn over" and after.
MSG George Beach (sic?) was ODA-15 Tm Sgt.
1LT (now LTG?) Keith Huber was Tm Ldr.
I had ODA-11 in B Co and then S-3.

When first arrived and improcessing (like day three?), prior to being assigned to a team, I was told to run PT w/ ODA-15.
Air felt like soup. Kept up w/ them until somewhere down in Cristobel. Then they sprinted back...I found my way back up hill past golf course and "pig pen" (VFW) to Gulick gate about an hour later... Suerte.

George Beach was one of my TAC's during Phase I. Made us give a rat we killed in our tent a funeral...

Best SCUBA Team in SF!

1978- Graduated 3/7 SCUBA School (16 mile run, 10K swim, ....yeah!)
ODA-15 1978-1980
ODA-15 1985-1988
I still have our "cool guy" cut-off shirts/shorts, Army uniform.

Limon Bay Divers are the best. Those awesome PT runs to France Field, sprinting up Heart Attack Hill at Gulick/Espinar!

What happened to the Team Room bar? I saw it in the Association Team Room at Bragg a few years ago. Did it make the move to Eglin?

Attached are photos of A-15 training El Sal divers in the mid 80s
EL Sal Med tng = I.V class
Break Time = you know the drill!
SCUBA class El Sal = Moving to the beach, the entire class, boats, engines and tanks on that one huge stakebed.........

SGM,

All this is before my time, but my understanding is that the SFA-7 is at Eglin and has brought down everything from Bragg. More to follow on this.

Chuck, It has been years since I've heard about you. I'm glad you are well!
They moved the bar we had in the Association to PR when C Co (Seals, D-3/160, and SOCSO) moved. They then moved the bar to Bragg when C Co went there. When they were sent the Eglin they moved the bar there with the SFA Ch. 7.
