Operation Just Cause - NDD as LEO

So, our intrepid A Team is functioning as the Palace Guard for the B Team. Lots of beach time and nights spent trying to keep the admin section from shooting each other across the perimeter.

In comes a WO from another Team right up the road.

"I have intel and a request from the community."

"Out with it man! We're all about the community!"

"Well, it seems there is this criminal. A very bad man. Killed mucha gente with a machete. Been know to rape little school girls, etc. They want us to do something about him."

Now it is well known that medics have a special place in their hearts for the community. "Where is this son of a bitch?"

So, they plan. The suspect, known locally as "La Planeta", "The Planet", is said to be hold up in his mother's house about an hour down the road. Plan is a vehicle assault, bust in, apprehend the suspect and be off.

WO and a couple of guys do a drive-by recon of the AO with the CI. The CI shows the house as the 2nd one in a row of about 6. GTG! Let's get the bastard!

So they wait until siesta time and start creeping up. Medic and cherry 18B roll out of the slow moving vehicle, do a nifty little IMT manuever and run around to the back of the target to prevent suspect's E&E. The rest of the group gose around to the front.

Bang! Down comes the door (no flash bangs thank God). A woman screaming! A WO screaming. WTH? Medic and partner stay on station! Did it go wrong? No shots fired! WTH?

"WRONG HOUSE! WRONG HOUSE! ITS THE NEXT ONE OVER!" 80 year-old woman comes crashing out the back door! "Sorry senora!"

Medic - "WRONG HOUSE? That DUMBASS! If I get shot, I'm shooting both the Chief and the CI!"

So begins the 200 meter dash to the next house. Obviously, the whole AO is now alerted. Will he be waiting?

So, the medic and partner arrive at the back of the 2nd house - winded and the medic is highly annoyed. Not to mention scratched all to hell and gone from running through the jungle that passes for backyards in that part of the world.
Take cover! Set up!

Bang! Down comes the! "STOP! STOP! You son of a bitch, don't run!"

Medic moves up to rear door behind a tree.

Door swings open! Does he fit the description? Who cares, he's young and running!

"Hello!"

Head turns. BAM! Lights out! Suspect is apprehended!

So, after securing The Planet with flex cuffs and a hearty round of backslapping and atta boys, they load up to take off.

The Planet is placed in the back of a flatbed truck for his ride to the Big House. Medic and another detachment member are riding with him to guard him. His hands are cuffed behind his back and he is hot!

"Do you know who I am?"
Silence
"You Gringos can't do this to me!"
Silence - medic looks out the back, estimating rate of travel (by now on an improved road) and distance to light vehicle with rest of team following behind.
Planet - "I'm going to find out who you are and kill you and your whole family for this!"

Now, there is some difference of opinion about exactly what transpired next. Some say there was an intentional act. Otheres that there was a simple accident.

At any rate, the medic shifted position slightly and The Planet somehow exited the vehicle and landed on the blacktop, with his hands behind his back. Fortunately, the vehicle was traveling slowly, so injuries were limited to a magnificent case of road rash. Luckily, the driver of the follow vehicle was alert and managed to avoid running over the suspect.

Convoy stops and retrieves lost item, who is now squalling like a baby.

Someone whispers in his ear, "We don't like child rapers. One more word and I'll tell the driver to get up to about 75 before you "fall out" again."

Team Sergeant orders medic to "Quit throwing the guy out of the vehicle."

Rest of the trip went without incident. The Planet was turned over to HN forces and promptly escaped during transfer.

Great story NDD.

Too bad you didn't 550 cord his nuts to the truck before he "fell out".

Didn't even look, moved on to the next fire. Besides, they lost him, they can find him. Seems like somebody told me once he turned up KIA somewhere.

I hate it when that happens.

Maybe he told them who he was too, and they were even less impressed with his scuffed up ass.

Disinfection and simultaneous debridement with an alcohol scrub by a wire brush.

Great story NDD.

I have heard stories that sometimes while transporting kiddie porn guys and child molesters deer and rabbits run out in front of the car and the brakes are applied very quickly to avoid killing the furry forrest dwellers. Sometimes the offenders experience rapid deceleration syndrome when they come into contact with the cage. I forget where I heard these stories.....
