Thanks for your service, and your sacrifice.

Thanks,, I think,,

There was only one instance where I can connect to the BS, On one of our nightly ambushes we collected an NVA prisoner, I think a Major, I was later told he flipped and was giving lots of info.

The Arcom w/V was for the day I was hit.

The rest??
I found them in my 201 file when I rotated back home.
No award ceremonies were held and none ask for.

Despite the controversy over the Vietnam War many still went and died for what they believed in.

Thank you to all who served.

I was in D Co,4th Bn 47 Inf, 9ID. Mobile Riverine Force 68 to 69. We Took heavy casualties. Company Commander and RTO shot in an ambush. My Platoon Leader wounded 5 times. Our next Platoon Leader wounded 3 times. My Platoon Sgt drowned. My squad leader stepped on a grenade, booby trap. When I became squad leader of 10 men every day, I was an E-4. I was wounded 3 times. Medics just patch you up and send you back to your Infantry unit.
Life in a Infantry unit was the ultimate survival game, lol.

Personally I have always thought that our country had more than one greatest generation. I was fortunate to have served with a lot of Vietnam veterans.

Every day afterwards; is a “Day For You” and all the great warriors who have walked the walk and did the deed.

Salud indeed! Cheers!

God Bless every warrior, living and dead and the families they left behind.
