Speaking of Ivanov, I heard he was a gate guard for CAG,or whatever ya call them these days, alot of guys had "fun" with him on the way through the gate, like "shine your boots, get a haircut, etc, etc". But now I think he works at range control.

His son had been Force Recon for a number of years before coming to the Q(did it to piss off dad, but then he got tired of never having funding or new gear), so he took it in stride. (Of course, he and his friends thought it was one of those "he was tough on us, this is all in good fun" type scenarios...it wasn't until after he graduated that everyone found out it was more along the lines of a seething hatred)

Mods you can move or delete, but....speaking of 7th group. Anyone recall a Roderick (Rod/Mack)McMillan, 18D??? I had heard he had retired/got out and was injured/killed somewhere. Any one know?? Reason I ask is we were in the 1/509th over in Italy in the late 70's, I ran into him one day on post and I didn't even know he went through the q course, now I know.
But any way jus askin'.

Rod McMillin
Glebo,
Rod was the medic on my team (744) when he was at Bragg. In October 2005 he was doing some contract work over in Thailand (I think) and was killed in a motorcycle accident. He was a great guy and a good friend.

I met him at Danny C's house. He was a nice guy and I was sorry to hear of his death.

I was afraid of that. Thats sorta what I had heard. Damn, I can still remember all the good times we had in Italy. What a friggin shame, he was a good man. As are they all. It figures, always the good ones.
Thanks for the info, albiet bad.
