That's quite the fish Congrats! Hope you had time to enjoy Old Orchard Beach while you were up there, it's like the Wisconsin Dells of the East coast.

That's one beautiful fish and a boat load of money. Congrads!!!!!!! Did you sell it? A fish like that in the NY market $16-20 per pound, or more depending on the plug pull.

Great job with that fish. It warms my heart to see fathers and sons spend time together, doing manly things.

What a great looking fish!
I've been on crews that have caught some really good sized blue and yellow fin tuna, but that is impressive.
What kind of rig was it caught on?
Would be keen to hear the story behind boating it.

That funny, my kid calls it the Myrtle Beach for Canadians. We're taking the extended family to OOB today, Thursday nite fireworks show and all.
Thanks fellas, we'll remember this for the rest of our days for sure, but we're going to try again Sunday. When you're hot you're hot and all. If any you guys are in the Saco AO and would like to come out Sun or Mon, we have room for a dad and his son/daughter. pm me.
For those interested in the details: We fish 3 Penn 2 speed 130's spooled with 200lb jenki and a 180lb fluorocarbon leader and a ringed 10/0 Owner hook. We usually fish live bait and at the time we hooked the fish we had 2 herring @ 100 and 125, and a mackerel swimming @ 75' anchored in 210'. I saw him come under the boat on the sonar around 100' and yelled to the boy, "tuna @ 100 feet. No sooner were the words out of my mouth, the 75' rod went down and the reel began to sing that beautiful song. ZZZZZZZZZ.......
