But wouldn't the "Tips of the Spork" be more appropriate?

Is it a spoon? Is it a fork? It is the symbol of diversity and breaks flatware bias... It is also generally not very good at being either...

But perhaps the pointy bits are too fierce?

Spoons, Forks, Sporks, Dorks the command is a bunch of tools

The fact is the lack of concern for protecting the units is an issue that cant be overlooked....anyone one else screws up and brings shame or bad press to the units sayanora kiss your career goodbye all that training, investment and skill out the window....we live and die by our good as well as our poor decisions...but the guy who hired this dimwit has really one job job....screen them.....they require a clearance....the position in older parlance would be considered top cover from D.C.

This was intentional to hire someone like this guy...had no one brought up his social media stuff and made it public would his job be in jeopardy?? Nope....Obamas 3rd administration means return of the political hacks the sychophant culture

Not Babylon Bee unfortunately

US Army launches superwoke recruitment ad

Quote:
The latest recruitment ad from the US Army features a girl raised by 2 moms, civil rights protests, a lesbian wedding and women "shattering stereotypes." It has the feeling of checking off boxes, trying to appeal to every facet of intersectionalism, and not actually designed to appeal to those who might be willing to fight and die for their country.

Following the lead of the CIA, the US Army released an ad that seeks to appeal to a new, woke generation. The ad follows a girl named Emma, raise by two moms, one of whom becomes disabled. Emma marched in unspecific civil rights protests, "joined a sorority full of other strong women" but decided to "answer her calling" to join the military.

In Emma's protest, signs can be seen saying "love each other," "respect everyone," and Emma herself is holding a sign saying "be yourself." Emma narrates this by saying she "marched for equality—I'd like to think I've been defending freedom from an early age."

How is this US Army ad not a parody? pic.twitter.com/RwmbJ1ez2G— Ian Miles Cheong (@stillgray) May 12, 2021

The ad series, called "The Calling," is intended to be a five-part video series that follows the stories of five "diverse" soldiers from different backgrounds who all joined the military. Corporal Emma Malonelord portrayed in this ad is said to be "a soldier who operates the Patriot Missile Defense System."

This new trend has been coined by some as "woke-washing." The ad by the CIA that sparked the term encourages every "single person, whatever their gender, gender identity, race, disability, or sexual orientation, can bring their entire self to work every day." The CIA ad features a gay agency librarian who finds comfort in LGBT symbolism, aka a rainbow, displayed on CIA lanyards.

Internet trolls quickly jumped on both ads, creating memes that depict children in the Middle East eagerly anticipating the day that drone strikes will be performed by women. Others depicted bombers dropping payloads now sporting rainbow flags and the Black Lives Matter logo.

I remember that one; thought it was pretty well done.

I'll do you one better...and it's more than appropriate given the fuel issue going on right now. How many remember having to march to or from a range or drop zone because of fuel shortages? Now we're being asked to maximize telework and to allow Soldiers leniency if they can't get to work.

Bikes don’t need fuel. Plus they would be good PT.

Do we have to relearn history... yes I do remember those days.....

Yup - I remember having to buy our own cleaning products for the barracks under Carter. No trucks from the Drop Zone - Sicily is OUT there...

Then Reagan came in and it was like: "Wait...we get ammo, fuel, AND food...?? what's the trick?"

At the end if I'd known that the POTUS in office at the time was the sig that ends up on the discharge cert I swear to God I'd have extended past Reagan's inauguration.
