There's already been several national and local news stories written about the complete distrust within the Black community regarding this vaccine and the medical community at large. I guess no one recalls the Tuskegee experiments....I mean that was hundreds of years ago.

Tuskegee was one of my first thoughts. We have a ethnic group that appears to be more susceptible to a disease due to social and economic conditions, possible genetics and TPTB decide it is best to put them at the front of the line of a new vaccine.



Apparently the model for who gets sent to the Right or Left of the vaccination line was produced by a gender bender freak named Jo Walker who is employed by the CDC. And it appears that Jo's vaccination model is based on whom is more essential and whom puts a drain on the system. So if you are retired and 70+ it has been deemed you are a drain on society and those younger than you are more deserving, and it's time help you on your way and redistribute that retirement.

I hate the AMA (never joined) and the AAFP(dropped 15 years ago when they signed a deal with Coca-Cola) and ABMS. None of them represent practicing physicians. It's all about income for them. After taking the FP boards 6 times and the Geriatric boards 3 times and Hospice and Palliative medicine once I've dropped my association with ABMS.

A close friend of mine is Navajo and very traditional in his beliefs.
He's a UPS driver who delivers Chilchinbeto, one of the early epicenters from which COVID spread through the Navajo Nation.

He says most of the "traditional" types are very suspicious of the vaccine.
They find it odd that the white people aren't getting it first.

Less than a week after we reported on widespread resistance among healthcare workers in one Chicago hospital, BeckersHospitalReview.com's Ayla Ellison reports that the virus of vaccine mistrust is spreading...

Many employees at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., have reservations about taking the COVID-19 vaccine, and CEO Anita Jenkins is trying to get workers to follow her lead by getting vaccinated, according to CNN.

The hospital, a major healthcare provider for the Black community, received 725 doses of the Pfizer vaccine Dec. 15 and expects to receive a second shipment this week. As of Dec. 18, only about 600 of the hospital's 1,900 employees had signed up for the shots, according to Kaiser Health News.

"There is a high level of mistrust and I get it," Ms. Jenkins told Kaiser Health News.

"People are genuinely afraid of the vaccine."

The vaccination numbers, though low, still exceeded expectations, Ms. Jenkins told CNN. An internal hospital survey of about 350 employees in early November showed that 70 percent were not willing to take the COVID-19 vaccine or would not take it immediately after it became available.

Ms. Jenkins received the shot Dec. 15 in hopes of inspiring staff to get vaccinated. She's part of a widespread effort by healthcare experts and community leaders to combat vaccine hesitancy among Black Americans. About 35 percent of Black Americans said they probably or definitely would not get the vaccine if it was determined to be safe by scientists and widely available for free, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation study cited by CNN.

Howard University Hospital isn't the only healthcare provider with workers who turned down the vaccine.

At Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas, so many workers declined the COVID-19 vaccine that the hospital offered doses to other medical workers in the region, according to ProPublica.

The hospital received 5,850 doses of the vaccine, and it quickly became clear that not enough people eligible for the vaccine, like staff who work directly with COVID-19 patients, were opting to get it, DHR Health CMO Robert Martinez, MD, told ProPublica.

"You start to see similar numbers across the country, all this mistrust and misinformation," Dr. Martinez said.

After the first day of distribution, DHR reached out to other hospitals and healthcare facilities in the region to offer doses of the vaccine. ProPublica reported that the vaccine ended up going to non-medical personnel as well, including state Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr. He told ProPublica he was invited to take the vaccine by DHR after officials explained to him that all eligible workers who wanted the vaccine received it.

In short, as we noted previously, nobody wants to be a guinea pig.

I've been seeing/hearing/reading some very odd and troubling claims that seem to make logical sense about this vaccine as I'm sure others have too.

At this point, pretty much my entire family (ages ranging from 1-74) has already had Covid with no severe issues. Mild fevers (~100-101), loss of taste and smell for a few days, fatigue, and lingering cough. All were knocked down for a few days but that's about it. None of them see the point in getting a vaccine for something they've already had- especially when you throw in the weird claims that are floating around. I'm sure that's where a lot of people are at too. Everyone I know now seems to have an anecdotal story that doesn't align with what we're being told by the MSM/popular culture. The fear may need a reboot soon, so I'm sure there will be some looming catastrophe that can only be fixed by the pharmaceutical industry.

I just told my wife last night that when she's ready to go Amish- I'm in.

Two members of Congress from Massachusetts have tested positive for the coronavirus, one after receiving both doses of the vaccine, a reminder that people can still be vulnerable to infection after being vaccinated, particularly in the two weeks after receiving the second dose.

Rep. Stephen F. Lynch (D-Mass.) tested positive for the virus on Friday afternoon after a staff member in his Boston office tested positive earlier in the week, his spokeswoman Molly Rose Tarpey said.

Lynch received a second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine before the inauguration of President Biden on Jan. 20, but his office declined to specify the date it was administered. Lynch had tested negative for the virus before attending the inaugural ceremonies, Tarpey said.

So is the vaccine like a flu shot? You know, it just eases the symptoms but is not the cure. Do the antibodies protect us from this particular strain?....What gets me is that this vaccine was produced quickly and sent out basically untested. Am I right? We cannot even cure the common cold and now they want us to take this vaccine and walk around with "Vaccine Papers". I'm just not sure of the reasoning if it's not effective. So now they are asking us to "double or triple" mask wearing. Well Hell, let's just put 50 of those bad boys on our faces....Quick fix is not a cure all....I just don't know anymore what is happening in this Country.
