Good day to you all,
My name is Sebastiaan, I started reading here some time ago and have never stopped. This place is a truly filled with a wealth of knowledge, and I plan on learning more here. I am one of the owners of a company in the Netherlands, we sell to the general public as well as to military and law enforcement.

After attending the Shot show in Las Vegas this year and meeting several of the board members there and getting a chance to talk with them prompted me to get my intro on here and start to help where I can and keep listening and learning where I can't.

Introduction

Hi all. I'm a soldier in the Va. National Guard who's been considering going SF. Though the research I found this forum and liked the potential I saw for education. I've taken note to the standards and plan to ease myself into the community. Have fun.

Deployed to Desert Storm with D Troop 1-1 CAV 1st AD. In aviation my entire career, I’m currently working in airline quality assurance as an Inspector. hello, my name is Joe

I'm currently attending Rutgers Uni. as a exercise science and sports studies major... (more on the sports management portion).

I enlisted in the Guard here in NJ in 2006 as an 88M.
went to the NG 11B re-class school in Jericho, Vermont
I have been reading this forum for all kinds of info because it is helpful reading other ppl's first hand thoughts and opinions on various topics...everyone's posts have all had some kind of worthwhile value, unlike countless other forums these days.

I am very thankful for everyone sharing what they know on this forum.

Hello,

I am not a member of the Special Forces, so I don't have any stories to tell or information to share, but I've always been very interested in that profession and I highly respect the soldiers who choose that path. So I'm just here to learn what I can, and to show support for you guys!

My name is Sierra, I'm 21-years-old, and I have been in the Army for 4 1/2 years now under the MOS of a 45B, one deployment to Iraq down, probably quite a few more to go. Not sure if I'm going to make a career out of the military yet, but one thing's for sure, I'll never regret the experiences I've had while serving.

Thank you for letting me join your site, God bless

Introduction

To the Quiet Professionals,

My name is Jason and I was referred to this website by a member of the 20th SFG a few days ago. I'm 25 years old and graduated from UNC-Wilmington with a BA in Communication Studies in December '06. At this point in my life, I have not served, however the National Guard is always something that I have considered, even more so now that I'm out of school. I'm currently exploring my options of joining the NG and finding my way into either the 19th or 20th SFG. This site has a great wealth of knowledge within each forum and I expect to learn a lot from you gents. As you may expect, my time here will mostly be spent reading and researching - not posting.

Thank you all for the incredible job you perform downrange. Take care.

Jason

Welcome Jason. Full names are not needed. Team Sergeant

Edit: My apologies, TS; thank you for the welcome aboard.

Introduction

Hello,

I am "Sparky" out of Denver, Colorado. I am going to MEPS on Saturday the 23rd with the intention to come out of that nut house in REP 63 for the 5/19th SFG here in Colorado. I have always wanted to join, I even tried when I was a senior in high school, but being color blind stopped that. It was stopped until I took the time and initiative to research it my self and found that you have to be able to differentiate vivid red and vivid green, which I can. Funny thing about getting older; you become more mature and pro-active.

Well, back to reading the stickies and other posts.

Welcome all.

Sparky, that is not what the reg says.

Do some searching here and look in AR 40-501 before you sign anything.
