Introduction

I am sixteen years old, I live in Oregon, and plan on enlisting after college and becoming a Special Forces soldier. I'm here to soak up some information from the guys who know Special Forces best. Thanks for tolerating my disgustingly young presence.

Hello,

Thank you for the opportunity to be back amongst men of honor. I am a former 1st Grouper. I spent from approximately ten years on active duty from 87-97. My unit assignments were D co. 1/504 82nd (88-91), SWC - Q Course (18B), and then 1st SFG, ODA-141 from 93-97. After leaving the service I spent five years at a police department outside of Dallas, TX. I then went to the Federal Air Marshal Service for a little over five years. I am now a law enforcement instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA.

Thanks again for the opportunity to join this group and look forward to catching up with old team mates.

Respectfully,

JDL

Humble intro

Hello,
I am a Communications NCO, the MOS is in the name. I was introduced to this board by a friend of mine who is considering going SF, and I am considering heading that way myself. I was assigned to a MiTT team at Apache in Adhamiyah, and worked with the ODA that was there. Great bunch of guys, professional in all aspects. I look forward to learning from you all.

Hello,
My name is Riley Ewen. I am 18 and graduating High School this year. I have been conditionally appointed to Virginia Military Institute and if I make it through the ratline I plan to major in Biology and Arabic. I may end up in the military after college so military affairs and options are an interest of mine. I probably will not post much at all, but I will be reading as much as possible.
Feel free to e-mail me at thexknapsack@yahoo.com if you so wish, and I can also answer Private Messages.

Riley

I know somebody who is in his second year up there. Want me to let him know you're coming? I'm sure he'll be able to find someone to give you a little extra attention on the rat line.

Pete

Welcome all.

Hello Gentlemen

Hello Gentlemen,

I am also known as #77 of SFAS Class 01-00, 21 Day/ Non-selected.

I was boarded on the final day of selection. Due to my imaturity, I quit myself out of anger while sitting on the bleachers waiting for my turn to stand in front of the board. I was invited to return, but chose another path.

Unfortunately regret is forever.

I learned an incredible amount about myself during those three weeks at CM, but I learned more while asking myself why I failed.

Alot of the faces from my youth are fading in my memory, but the faces of the friends I made at selection haunt me to this day.

I found this board by chance and am wondering if there is anyone here who attended or anyone who may know someone from SFAS 01-00.

I am looking for Joe (never learned his last name).

Thank you for your your time, and hopefully I can contribute something.

Intro

Joe here. Originally out of SE Ga, been at Bragg since 90. Took the extra long Q course (dang Morse Code and Survival). Got to 1/7 in '92. Stayed there til '01when I got tagged for my SWC tour. Left for 3/3 in '04 where I have been ever since. Seen a lot of changes in SF over the years, not all of it good, but that's the way it is. I will be wrapping things up in a couple of years or so, hopefully to find a job at FLETC or Kings Bay, somewhere near home. Watch the babies grow and take care of my folks. Look for to staying in touch with old friends and making new ones through this board. If there is anything I can do for anybody, let me know. Joe

Introduction

Hello Quiet Professionals and all others. My name is Jason and I'm 23. I am a big fan of firearms and shooting. I found this site while searching for more information on joining the Army. I am currently speaking to a recruiter and have a strong desire to join. As of now I'm leaning towards 11x or Military police. I just wanted to say thanks for having me here on this great site with tons of info and thanks to all you guys for serving and protecting the freedoms that I enjoy everyday, I am very grateful.

Hello All: Was TDY to 10th Gp in the VERY early 60s, with hopes of attempting to go SF. Until the Army introduced the M-151 1/4 ton Utility. The consequential familiarization with this vehicle destroyed any hopes of a Special Forces career.

And, for a number of years Ive worked with other VOFG who were SF qualified that offered their expertise to potential SF candidates from C/2/19 WVNG.

This site is a wealth of information and memories.
