Mr. Tate,
Mr. Hillar is lying when he says that he never claimed to an SF Op and a retired Army Colonel. He told me directly in his human trafficking class a few weeks ago that he was a retired Army 0-6 (Colonel) upon finding out that I was a Marine vet. I am willing to sign a petition regarding this statement and would like to have the school collect signatures to this affect from other students who have taken his workshops. Furthermore, he claims to have to have taken part in Operation Eagle Claw (the rescue mission of the Iranian hostages, a Delta Force mission) and has been found to be plagiarizing stories from books during his lectures. For example, he plagiarized a story from a book called The Mission, The Men and Me by author Peter Blaber. On pg 56 of that book, Blaber describes how he purchased a gorilla suit for one of his missions as a Delta Force op. Mr. Hillar tells the exact same story in his Tactical Terrorism class, but passes it off as his own experience. Lastly, documents from a Freedom Of Information Act request show no record of any Army service, let lone special forces. His military record can be verified easily by giving his social security number to the NCIS or any other military criminal investigative service for verification purposes.
On Nov 8, 2010, at 10:09 AM, Miller, Tate wrote:

To be sure, we are still investigating William Hillar's bio and other information -- all we know for sure at this point is that there does seem to have been a mistake made in his bio on our website. The information is not correct. Professor Hillar claims he never gave us this information. It will be removed. Even though he is an adjunct professor and not a member of our full-time faculty, once we have the full set of data, should there have been misrepresentations as outlined in your email, the administration will take the appropriate measures, including considering not having him teach his spring semester workshop.
Please be assured, we take these accusations very seriously and will act accordingly.

Mr. Millar,
I am a student here at MIIS and would like to bring some important information to your attention. According to evidence I have gathered over the past several days it appears that Mr. Bill Hillar, an adjunct Professor at here at this school, is falsely claiming to be a retired Army Colonel and special forces operative. Not only is lying about your military record a slanderous offense in and of itself, he is using these credentials to teach courses here at MIIS. His Tactical Terrorism class is almost entirely composed of his "experience" as a member of Delta Force. I would strongly advise that he asked to present a DD214 and have his background throughly investigated. Moreover, due to the questionable nature of Mr. Hillar's integrity, I am also highly suspect of his academic credentials and hope that MIIS will begin an investigation into those as well. Lastly, I would like to know how MIIS allowed Mr. Hillar to teach courses at this University without properly vetting him in the first place? For personal reasons I will not include the evidence I have for these allegations through email, but I am more than willing to discuss this matter in person.
Thank you,

You da man.... stand up for what's right. They might have removed it from the MIIS website but it's still on bill hillars website as of today:
William G. Hillar is a retired Colonel of the U.S. Army Special Forces. He has served in Asia, the Middle East, and Central and South America, where his diverse training and experiences included tactical counter-terrorism, explosive ordnance, emergency medicine and psychological warfare.
http://billhillartraining.com/about.htm
As a retired Special Forces Colonel I sure billy hillar has his DD-214, DA-66, his promotion award to COLONEL (framed). His letter from the president for doing 20 years in the military, framed. Pictures from all over the world. His jump certificate and Special Forces diploma's framed. I bet he could just snap a picture of all that stuff and send it to me and I'll eat my jump boots, with tobasco sauce.
News articles concerning his daughters kidnapping, I' sure they are hard to find. In Special Forces we've had so many or our daughters kidnapped and forced into the sex slave industry that the media doesn't even report them anymore. A page 10 story I'm sure.
Hey bill hillar of billhillartraining.com I'll show you all my paperwork if you show me yours?
Lord knows us 20+ year Special Forces Veterans sure accumulate a lot of paperwork.
I'm only asking for a few pieces william g hillar. Come on now make me eat my boots.....

This is why he's gotten away with this for so long. In Mr. Miller's world, this guy's world "considering not having him teach his spring semester workshop," is an appropriate measure that rises to the level of serious.
Not - reporting him to any given alphabet agency he's fraudulently associated himself with or reporting him for violation of the Stolen Valor Act. Not asking for him to pay back any monies paid because he was a LIAR who misrepresented himself and did damage to the reputation of the institution.
They'll "consider" not having him teach in the spring.
Good on you for demanding Mr. Miller explain how this happened in the first place. Accountability for the school's actions will go a long way toward not getting duped again.

Monterey Institute of International Studies has now removed the Special Forces FRAUD known as bill hillar from their website.
Geez william g hillar, that's two colleges in one week that have removed you from their website? What's up buddy? Sky falling?
I wonder if the Monterey Institute of International Studies plans to inform their students that william g hillar was in fact a fraud? hillar taught a course there Tactical-counterterrorism, I'm betting he taught that course based off all his days in Special Forces?
You students of Monterey Institute of International Studies need to demand your money back. You've been conned.
Hey by the way, does Monterey Institute of International Studies now need a real Special Forces soldier to teach counterterrorism courses?
Listen for the knock bill, it's coming......

Bill's syllabus
Thought you would like to take a look at Bill's syllabus for his "tactical counterterrorism" class. He claimed to be 1 of 4 guys to conduct a "pre-mission recon for Desert One". Said he was disguised as a German businessman...I think he just read that from The Atlantic article written on it. His details were also found in CSM Eric Haney's book. He recommended it to the students and added "Eric is a good friend of mine." Anyways, here is the syllabus. Enjoy.

It's Worse Than You Can Imagine
More crazy info is on the way...check this out
http://www.kcby.com/news/local/104833774.html
But Bill Hillar, a retired US Army Colonel in the special forces, says the state of Oregon is finally doing something about it.
He spoke Tuesday at a human trafficking event sponsored by the Zonta Club, his expertise on the topic coming from a personal experience.
Hillar says, "I was sitting in my office in North Carolina and I got a phone call from our government agency that said, your daughter's been kidnapped. And it bothered me a lot because I had worked in that part of the world for a long time, so I took a leave."

US Senator Witness
Open to the public, social service workers and law enforcement for a $10 registration fee, the first event features keynote speaker Bill Hillar, an expert on the topic and retired U.S. Army Special Forces colonel.
He also became the inspiration for the 2008 film 'Taken," starring Liam Neeson, in which a man's daughter is forced into the slave trade.
Keith Bickford, a Multnomah County sheriff's deputy, along with Julie Samples of the Oregon Legal Services Farmworkers Program and Wynne Wakkila, the director of Oregonians Against Trafficking Humans, also are scheduled to speak.
U.S. Senator Ron Wyden is expected to attend.

Just surfing around, since I can't sleep this morning, I found some more interesting info. I don't remember seeing it in any of the threads so if I missed it, let me know. I found a link where supposedly our Mr. Hillar founded an advocacy group called "Just Yell Fire" http://www.zoominfo.com/search#searc...rgetid=profile
Checking the site, it appears the founder is actually a woman named Dallas Jessup. http://www.justyellfire.com/about.php This group is in the Portland area as well, but I see no reference to Mr. Hillar on it.

Knowing those two I doubt "forgot" had anything to do with it. Probably had more to do with "walking is good for you" and "you can always count on your feet to get you there".
