New Guy

Hello all.
This is my first post here, so I will give a short bio. I am the Fox on the ODA 051(the old number). I heard about this site from my friend in A/2/10. I have been browsing the forum, and I like the H2H thread very much. Feel free to ask questions about me and I may answer some of them. Thanks.

My Intro

Hey QPs and Candidates,

My name is SGT Nunes and I am currently in the Mass National Guard. I just got home from Iraq in September and I am working on finishing my Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Science.

Lately I have become very interested in going SF, and in my good favor there are to ARNG SF units within close proximity of where I live. There is the Springfield unit, which is part of 20th group, and the Rhode Island unit, which is part of the 19th group. I haven't been able to think about anything else for the past few months and this week I have started an exercise regimen to get me into shape for when I try out for either of those units.

I've been reading through the forums quite a bit and you guys have a great site going - keep it up! Hopefully I will be joining your ranks at some point in the future.

Hey everyone, my name is GJ. Live and grew up in Orem, Utah. I'm a full time student at a local soon to be University. Handful of classes away from my A.S. and A.A.S. degree in Drafting. Then onto high education in either Architecture or Construction Management.

I found out about this site from another forum. Glad to be here, have enjoyed the reading.

My plan is to enlist as an 18C in the Utah National Guard as soon as I'm finished with school.

Thanks for listening.

Introduction

Hello all,

I am Brandon and my wife and I live in Fayetteville, NC. I was with the 82nd Abn Div. for 3 years; I did Afghanistan and Iraq with them. I worked at the NSA-Texas from fall 2004 to summer 2005--I missed being a field soldier so I left the NSA quickly. From Summer 2005 till present day I have been on SOT-A 706 for 7th Group. I did AFghanistan in '06 and '07. One of these days I'll do my first ratation down south... yeah, I know, "a case o' beer" for everyone.

I love being a SOT-A, it has allowed me to do some of the greatest things I could ever do in life; however, due to my wife being sick of it and other family things, I'll be hanging up my boots and headphones in a year.

Rest In Peace: Thom Maholic, Joe Fuerst, and Carlo Meth.

Greetings. I stumbled onto this site and am impressed. I have learned much, and the contributers have confirmed alot of things I already knew. I'm a 68W, and heading "over there" soon as the Medic for a MiTT. I hope to run into a few 18D's while on assignment in order to learn more from the best.

Welcome to PS.com fellas.

MiTTmedic-
I just got back. There are some things you should be aware of working on a MiTT.

Several of my buddies have been hounding me to come and join.

Retiired 18A turned 180A out of B/3/20 when it was still located at Fort AP Hill, Virginia. Joined the unit as a 2nd LT in 1982 when it was still A/2/11.

Hello, gentlemen.

My name is Mick. Recently graduated college with a BA in Literature. Currently in the DEP for the U.S. Army, current 11B - reclassifying to 35M in order to procure a slot at DLI, DLAB score allowing. ASVAB score of 96.

Right now I'm focusing on the 25 m target: PT, Pre-BCT Task-List, synthesizing as much information as I can from reading and asking soldiers about their experiences, and refreshing my foreign language capabilities.

I've been interested in Special Forces and seek to further my knowledge as it is something I would like to volunteer for down the road. Reading through the various forums on this site I have learned a lot of answers to questions that I had and am looking forward to learning more from the Quiet Professionals. Thank you for allowing me to have that opportunity.

Hello, I'm currently in the DEP with an 18X contract and ship out in less than 8 weeks. I get more excited about the possibility of joining such an elite group of gents as yourselves everyday. I worked at a local gun shop for 2 years under a former Ranger who served with the 2nd Ranger Bt out of Ft. Lewis (was not necessarily encouraged by him, however). Hoping to get a shot at 18C.
