truth be known, i was at BT when 1st Battalion was told to remove the German tricolor and go back to the green flash...in fact, B Company had just returned from JTX Zeus in Greece when the SGM and BC met us on DZ Karen and told us we were "out of uniform"...they had reverted to the 10th Group flash while we were out of town...i thought CSM P had been brought back to active duty....we had an inspection the following day (Saturday) to insure we had all complied with the ***** directive...
i would be one of those who spent time at Fort Flint...
welcome...

Time for my introduction
I am very new to forums. Not to mention that I have a job that take 10-12 hours of my day and I don't have a computer at my home, so chances are I will not be posting much.
I am an Active Duty Enlisted Soldier. I am all about Operational Security, so you will not hear me speak a lot of information about myself, my unit, or anything not available in Army Times, Stars and Stripes, or on the internet. All I will admit of myself is that I am a paper-pusher in an Army Health Clinic in Hessen, Germany. I love the U.S. Army and my clinic is cool, but I HATE my job. I am on orders to go to 82nd Airborne Replacement Battalion. I have a 4187 in the works for Airbone School in Route to next Duty Station. There, I will Reenlist to reclass to either a Combat Medic or a SF Medic.
I'm glad to be part of this community.

By the way...
I'm a real easy going soldier and I am EXTREMELY proud of what I am and who I will become. I would appreciate any guidance anyone has to give.

Intro
Found link from SF Assoc Web Site. Just thought I'd jump in and see whats happening here.
My background: I grew up an Army brat and always striving to improve on Family Tradition the allure of SF was always in my mind. Whiile on active duty, Engineer Branch made it clear that they 'wouldn't let us ruin our career that way'. (Times have changed but this was in 1982) So I resigned my commission after my first tour (OK, there were a few other reasons as well). After a couple years in the civilian world, I joined 12 Group at Hamilton Field and spent 6 years with them.

Security is a good thing. However, you might want to jump on AKO during some down time and learn the difference between OPSEC and PERSEC.

Age does play a role as I understood it to mean military perfection and readiness, which I always strive for. However, if in the community it still means what you wrote, then I'll see if the Admins will allow me to change my member name.
