New Guy from TX
I want to begin by stating how helpful this site has been to keep current on what's going on in Group, and read some advise from some pretty experienced individuals. Thank you.
I'm a former MI guy who went to SFAS in APR 02, Q course in 03-04. I then moved the family to the great state of Washington, and served as the XO of C/3/1 SFG for a year, before finally getting to serve on an ODA. Team time was everything it was cracked up to be, and I got the opportunity to deploy to SE and SW Asia...good times.
After team time, I chose to stabilize the family in their home state, so I made a leap of faith and joined C/5/19 SFG, in the Texas Army National Guard (TXARNG). Although I'm pretty new to the Guard, I'm extremely impressed witht he quality of the individuals in the company: the NCO and Officer leadership is definitely impressive. So far, I feel confident I'll be able to continue to serve while stabilizing the family, which is all I could ever ask for. I know it sounds like a cliche, but serving with the men of SF has been the most rewarding experience I've ever had, and I'm humbled and grateful every day for being so fortunate to serve in this capacity.
Once again, thanks for the site, and thank you to every member out there (past, present, and future Soldiers).

Hello to everyone!
I found out about this site on SOCNET and decided to take a look. Thank you for allowing me to join. I see alot of familiar names. I have been looking over and have already gained a lot of valuable information. I am a prior enlisted 12B and after an 11 year break went back in and now working in the 35D capacity on the reserve side and supporting the community on the contractor side. I will keep my ear to the ground, Thanks again!

Hola!
Hello,
I am Brandon and my wife and I live in Fayetteville. I was with the 82nd Airborne Division from 2001-2004. Tours in Afghanistan and Iraq--in Afghanistan, my Low Level Voice Inctercept (LLVI) team was attached to an SF unit and REALLY loved the way they operated. Much more freedom and ability to conquer the enemy. In 2005 I had brief respite from war when I worked with the NSA-Texas in San Antonio. From late 2005-present, I have been serving as a SOT-A with the 7th SFG(A). Tours to Afghanistan in 2006 and 2007. Rest In Peace: Thom Maholic, Joe Fuerst, Juma, Ish, and Mohammad-Panjawai, June 22-24 2006
I love being a SOT-A--although, I'm hanging up my boots in a year--and helping save and take lives.
Here's to the bold and courageous men in history and in present day the world over who fight for the freedom of others.

Hola
I am MSH. I was assigned to C Co, 3rd Bn, 7th SFG (A) in a support role (Intel) from Aug 2005 until yesterday. (Jan '08) I loved it there and I love the guys, our mission, the camaraderie, the professionalism, pretty much everything. I loved it so much, I decided to make sure that I would stay until I died or retired. I am currently a student at SWCS in the 18E course, SFAS Class 07-07. I signed in to D Co yesterday. Hello, welcome and good day.

Hello!
Hello All!
My name is Ken from San Jose, CA. I've been in the military for only a few years. I am with the 870th Co/49th BDE, National Guard. I've been trying to find a site where I can get some advice as to training and information regarding Special Forces. I hope to one day be apart of it. I came across this site through a relative who completed Special Forces Training and recommended that this be a great source of info. In the mean time I am currently a student with one year to graduate and deciding if I still want to be enlisted or become an officer.

Happy to be here
Hi everyone. I'm a Cav Scout in Fort Lewis right now, but I'll be leaving to Fort Bragg soon. I got selected from the Aug. '07 SFAS. My grandfather is my biggest inspiration to go SF. He went Vietnam a couple times while in Delta Project, and was a Recondo instructor after that. I consider him a Grade-"A" Bad-Ass, but I deeply admired how humble he was. Never one to gloat. Really working forward to a career as a Quite Professional.
