My wife and I just returned from a one week late honeymoon(never got one)/anniversary trip to Antigua. There was a LARGE amount of English Harbour and Cavalier rum consumed. I highly recommend that particular island. Plus it was a 16 and up resort so that was a nice break. Did I mention rum?

Very Happy

21 hours ago my chest got tight, sweat was pouring out of me and I was having a little trouble catching my breath. Wife got me to the ER within 20 minutes, I did some nitro drip until the pain went away and they kept me for the night, EKG's all normal as was chest x-ray and CT, however the third blood test showed that some damage had taken place earlier in the evening. Tomorrow, Monday they are going to Catheterize me and try to get to the root of the problem. Did not expect to get that news but am also not entirely surprised. Grandma always told me that if she had known she was gonna live this long she would have taken better care of herself, I should have listened to her. Every day is a gift and I have much to be thankful for, starting with my wife.

Hope whatever they find is not too serious...

After a much needed breezy, rainy couple of days, the rains abated around 1630 and I enjoyed a nice hour sitting out on the porch in a rocker made from wine barrel staves, enjoying a nice glass of chilled Chardonay and watching my dogs sniff around in the front yard while a beautiful rooster pheasant and three hens fed out in the East pasture.

LIG.

I love wild pheasants! Stuffed with wild rice and cremini mushrooms.

Got all of that here, except the pheasants, and I'm not in CA. We do have a frillion hummingbirds though. Vicious little devils, they are.

My happy Thought for today will be the sight of my Boat rolling out of the driveway on its way to it's new home this morning.

Paid for on Friday and check cleared!!!!!

Also I accomplished a rare thing. Sold it for more than I paid.
This is the only good thing that has happened here in PR.

Happy memories of the day!

I was able to spend a very pleasant day with a long time friend who I had never met before and who was willing to spend some forced family fun* with us. Stories were exchanged, laughter ensued, some strange beeping and quacking was tracked down and, oddly, some peculiar allergy caused our eyes to tear at the same time.

Thank you, AM, for making the hour and a half RT to visit today. Salute, mi Amigo!

Pat

* Tip of the hat to Richard.

Got the keys to our house April 3rd! 1.5 acres, play room converted garage for the kids. We have to build a pad for a steel building or detached garage. Probably going to buy a steel building for cost reasons.
