Hello, my name is David Snyder and I am joining the Army in six months. I plan on being in for over 20 years and going into SF somewhere along the road. I haven't decided if I should go into SF through the 18XRAY baby SF program but the option is on the table.

Thank you,

David Snyder

David:

Don't plan your career too far out till you have actually done something.

I would like to be the President for two terms too, but it probably ain't happening.

Greetings

Just a quick intro: Ex-Navy, backround in electronics and comms, currently a contractor supplying specialized equipment to the SF community. If you've driven by 7th SFG Group HQ bldg recently, you've seen some of my work.

If I don't plan for the future I'll just be another stupid kid who dosent Know what to do with his life. I have very specific goals, in what I achieve them is the question, and yes things can come up.

My advice to you would for you to keep quiet, lay low and get a feel for this board before arguing with folks that have more time in SF than you've been on this planet.

Read the posts, find out as much information as you can and plan your future accordingly. Getting into a pissing match won't help you here. We will simply do an IP ban and continue running this site without you.

Words are cheap. Action is what counts. Do the best you can.

I hope this is the last I hear of this discussion or you'll be gone before I go back out to work this evening.

Have a very SF day.

Your heart is in the right place & it is admirable that you want to devote 20 years of your life in service to your country. There is a lot to be said to that especially in the society that we live in today.

However, what the Colonel wanted you to understand is that you don't walk into a room full of battle-harden warriors & tell them that you're going to do this & that.

Learn to focus on your 25 meter target. If you do not understand what that means, do a search & then apply that principle in your military career.

Also a little humility will take you further here.

Welcome on board.
