Introduction

Hello Gentlemen,

My name is SPC Zach Gallegos and I'm currently serving in the MDARNG with E co 629th MI (LRS) as an RTO. As my profile states I have aspirations of becoming a Special Forces Soldier once I finish college. I currently attend University of Maryland Baltimore County where I major in Political Science and Economics with a minor in Arabic. I'm looking to learn everything I can from the forums to improve my field craft and be successful in my desired way of life. Thank you for allowing me to be a fly on the wall.

-G

Gentlemen,

My name is Chad and I am from North Carolina. I signed in late September 2007, and my ship date is 10 July 2008, which gives me time to complete my college coursework. I thank you all for letting me be a part of your community and allowing me access to the information that comes with it. It will be an honor to officially begin training come July.

Hi I would prefer not to use my name and I am currently in college at Penn State. I am not in the U.S. Army yet. I would like to go in for the Airborne then the Rangers and finally the SF. I will post when I am enlisted and shipping out. I am a college student and I realize that the U.S. Army is a commitment. Thank you.

Hello Gentlemen,

Thank you for operating this site. I have read quite a bit and it is all very helpful. I have an 18x contract and I leave 20080115. As for right now, I am a student at a local college. I will go back to lurking now.

Hello to all,

I recently discovered this site and have found it to be both informative and professionally operated. I have worked in the criminal justice system for the past 11 years, and beyond that, there is not that much worth mentioning. My compliments to the administrators of this site....given some of the other forums I have seen, it is nice to see one in which the members and guests are not constantly flaming each other, but instead are engaging in informative dialogue. This is as intelligent as I can sound without giving myself a headache.

Hi guys.

My names Mike, I'm a 28 year old soldier with the New Zealand Army.
I cant lay any claims to greatness, just a run of the mill Kiwi grunt.

Hoping to learn some useful tricks from those who have BTDT to improve my own skills and help me be a better soldier.

Thanks for providing this site.

Mike

I am a 22 year old prior active duty Army soldier. I was stationed at Ft. Bragg for the duration of my time and have served in the 514th Signal Company (Airborne) and the 128th Detachment, USASOC (Airborne). I signed up here because I saw the thread about Capt Tiffner, whom I do not know, but my uncle was his driver during the incident that took his life (my uncle survived, but was wounded).

I'm probably going to re-enlist because I hate civilian life, but we'll see.

Hello, first and foremost I just want to say I have the utmost envy and respect for every one of you fine men.

Now, a bit about myself. Names Travis. I'm 19, young in age but I'd like to think my mental state of being is a few years surpassed. I believe, there is a small population of the true, "Those who seek justice are those who are ultimately satisfied". That rare breed of men and women alike that will take every risk, along with every precaution necessary to fulfill an ideal. Those are who I would like to learn from and learn with.

I have been seriously considering enlisting but there are still a few things I have yet to find in the pages of texts. As a mental and physical being I realize the need to be honed and in control of both realms. Special Forces from what I have read and understand will push my abilities in both to limits I have not even fully realized.

The years of turbulence are upon us and I for one do not want to be unprepared when the time comes to choose.

Mike,
Your post reminded me of something. A few weeks ago I opened a fortune cookie and the little strip of paper said,

" Don't just learn the tricks, learn the trade"

Welcome aboard.

Hello gentlemen,

I'm a former 11B NG type, re-enlisting for the 18X opportunity. I came from SOCNET and I am grateful for being welcomed into your house and granted access to some of your knowledge. Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I ran across this site a little while ago and finally decided to register. I entered as an 18X and am currently in the SFQC training to become an 18E. Hopefully I'll be going to 10th SFG with Arabic as my language. Sadly, I had to give up going to Sharky's in exchange for Rosetta Stone lessons every night. I know its a long, long way off, but I'd someday like to try for CIA Special Activities Staff or Green. I most likely won't post too much; however, I appreciate all the advice and words of wisdom from all of the experienced and knowledgeable members of the board.

Thanks.
