Sorry... what I meant was that the Academy was not the place for me to mature and I realized I'd needed to. Thats why I left, I needed to do some growing up before being put into a military setting. And I feel that I have grown alot over the past 2 years.

Hello everyone, My name is Steve age 22. Currently a 91w10, prior service Tanker. Became enamored with the green berets as a child, thanks to john wayne. Joined the service in 01, served in ft. riley/iraq. After working/speaking with some of the men from 5th group while in the sandbox, i realized i had a long way to go to be ready for SFAS, so i've been training ever since. If i post anything on here that seems irreverent or offensive, i apologize.

read the stickies, use the search function, exhaust the sources you have at hand before asking questions that have already been answered and you'll get along fine...welcome to the board, good luck on your journey...look out for NDD, however...

Especially since he didn't capitalize "John Wayne", though I think he prefers college dudes.

Just a bit of introduction here, gentlemen. Most of my background can be gleaned from my profile. I would like to say thank you to the SF community for their time, effort, and finances in setting up this site. I do consider it a distinct honor and privilege to be authorized access. I will now take the opportunity provided to wander the halls a bit and soak in the shared experiences and wisdom of veteran soldiers. Again, my thanks.
Drive on warriors!

Intro:
I am a young, dumb civilian. I do not play Airsoft. My guns actually have lead that comes out the barrel. I am a bit of a gear geek, but I don't believe that any civilian should recieve something until all of the Mil and LE orders have been filled.
I have been fortunate enough to spend countless hours on ranges with very dedicated and motivated individuals. I have learned from what I consider some of the absolute best shooters and instructors to be found.
Some people work on cars, or go fishing. I shoot.

Greetings All,
I am not-so-new to this forum, as I've been reading it for a few months now. However, having finally registered and having nothing to contribute to the on-going discourse I would like to humbly thank those contributors whose knowledge and wisdom was both enlightening and inspiring.
Thank you, sirs.

My apoligies for not paying attention to detail. I have been informed of my transgressions and will abide by the rules. I in no way wanted to get off on the wrong foot. Please accept my apoligy and allow me to maintain in this great website and forums.
(with that being said)
My name is J. Milam and I am 29 y/o. I have a wife and 3 kids. 13, 9 and 5. I love anything military and see that I can gain very valuable knowledge from this group.
I look forward to getting to know each and every member (willing) on this forum/website and appreciate all you do for our great nation. I am also intrigued about the SF group as a whole.
Thank you.
