" Once Again "

To : " The Team Sergeant, "

Sorry once again " Ambush Master " as I said your last name came to me today and I looked it up in " The Directory, " although I recall that you were frequently mentioned in correspondence that I had over the years with Howard Sugar.
To all " The Fort Bragg People " out there, some names may come up: Hope some of you know a guy I went through Training Group with and served with me at CCC Recon at Kontum. He had previously served with the 3rd Brigade of the " Eighty Deuce " at Camp Eagle in '65 and was at CCC with RT New Mexico. Although I missed him at the 50th SF Reunion at Fayetteville, was told he was still around the area possibly with the military but now in a civilian capacity.
Any news on "Larry Purvis" you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Possible retirement info on another "SOG Guy," To my old one-zero who kept us alive through all those months when I was on your second team, I know you wish many times you had "Larry Kramer" back from you first " West Virginia SOG Team " in 1968 as your (1-1), "Ronnie Knight, " I know your still out there somewhere. Hope you haven't moved to South Carolina as we discussed at the 50th SF Reunion when I saw you last.
Recent losses also tough: Donald " Ranger " Melvin from Pete Nimsy's old RT Virginia ( he was runnig recon at age 48 as I remember!!!! ) The target they were in was so dry if I remember correctly that they radioed back in and asked if they could drink their IV's.
Billy Greenwood 1st Shirt on recon company at Kontum, He had been fired up as member of an " A Team " down in the Delta many years before and was never quite the same after that.
Lamar Parker " Just one peach of a fellow; and Charles Wesley your heroism is well documented for all to read; what more can I say, we'll miss you all.
Well, that's it for now, I believe I've drunk enough beer and said far too much tonigt.

Hello All

Just wanted to pop in and say hello and introduce myself proper like. I spent some time in the 82nd Airplane Gang (3rd BDE-2/505th). I was in the first Gulf War. I kinda just want to keep up w/ what's going on in the SF Commmunity-I always had a great respect for our guys in the dark.

peace...through superior firepower-in the forehead or high in the chest area...

Hello

Hello, my name's Ian McDevitt. I'm a Paramedic of 15 years from the state of CT. I work doing intercepts as sole ALS response for a 17 town area in Northern CT. I spent 6 +2 in the reserves/guard IRR, class 31-86 at Benning Airborne School, IOBC. Was Platoon Leader for a Scout Platoon in the Yankee Division which no longer exists and company XO also for a Light Infantry Company in Danielson CT. 16 years ago I was the medic for the King Fahd Military Medical Complex in Dhahran Saudi Arabia. I taught Tac Medicine back then to the Hajii's. I transported PT accross the desert and picked up patients from the refugee camps. I have been a Tactical Paramedic for 6 years, CONTOMS, H&K, Blackwater for Handguns and Basic Tactics. SIG, KNI-COM, TEES, World Survival Institute Wilderness Medical Instructor for 6 years. I wrote TACTICAL MEDICINE on a 4 month whim with the Tac Medics from 3 departments in the State of CT. Since then I have advised everyone from the US Marshals in NYC to CT Wildland FF in EMS and TEMS. I started the first Tactical Medical forum at tacticalforums.com back when. Recently, I worked for Global Risk in Kabul at the Embassy worked on the QRF, and taught the guard force as much TEMS as possible, also liasoned with Bagram, Phoenix, and Camp Kabul to appropriate and disseminate gear. I'm debating taking some other jobs but, basically, I can't stand that part of the world so will probably not do it. I currently operate with Willimantic PD as their medic, we do about 2 calls a month, all good entries. Our last run was three entries in 1 night, 7 K's of heroin and 1 murderer...........There's a little bit more, but that should be enough for an intro....

Hello everyone, I'm Red (a nickname, but what I go by) and I'm from Pittsburgh, PA, 20 years old, and currently scheduled to ship 2005-12-27 as an 18X.

I look forward to the challenge and the opportunity to do what I've wanted to do for as long as I can remember. My father was not Special Forces but he was in the Army during Vietnam and I'm following the tradition so to speak.

With 10 days left before I ship out I couldn't be more excited. Wish me luck!

Hello my name is Joe, I'm a ROTC cadet at UCF who wants to eventually be in an ODA. I just came back from BAC this winter, C Co 08-06. I'm currently SMP'd with an Infantry guard unit in Florida, but I'm trying to switch units to 20th Group Support so I can keep jumping. I'm also going to OSUT this summer.

It would be great if any of you could tell me some of your reviews of your officers, more so how I can prepare to be a better one. Basically anything that will help me keep me men alive and accomplish the mission would be good.

Welcome aboard all.

Joe, plenty of O's and O stories here, you just need to look for them.

Good luck everyone.

Hello.

I'm a finn. I have been trained as a guerrilla medic (NCO) in the Finnish Defence Forces. Now I'm in the FDF reserve... I'm a 24 years old male.

I registered because I had a question regarding SF medics and so on... I'm not going to post much on this forum, just read it.

Thank you.
