So, does the NCAA championship not go through the SEC this year?

Kudos to the Sooners for their last minute win and how about those Spartans 17-0with 8 minutes left in the first half but too early to call.

National Championship game
What does everyone think about the National Championship matchup? I've got FSU emerging with the crystal ball. Given the manner in which they have dismantled teams this year (including Clemson and Florida), I think they'll overrun Auburn and finally end the SEC title streak.
The Rose Bowl featuring Michigan State and Stanford should be an exciting game as well. I'll be pulling for the Spartans in that one!

Well, sheepishly, all I can say is for us, "there is always next year for Browns, Buckeyes, and Indians!" Gee, how I hate saying this every year for Ohio pro teams. Oh...by the way, I forgot to mention the Cavs!

As far as the Spartans go, I think everybody outside of Ohio was rooting for them.
But, I still have hope with Auburn.

MAB32, It must be rough to go 12-1 and be disappointed. Urban had a better team last year IMO. It was a good game.

Auburn is tough. I'm sure Florida State is good, but there is a huge gulf between the ACC and the SEC.
Auburn just knocked off Alabama and Mizzou. The triple option offense they run is extremely hard to defend, especially with all the athletes they have. Not to mention that offensive line gets a 3-4 yard push every play.
My call: Auburn 45 Florida State 21

SEC! SEC! SEC!
Auburn 42
FSU 32
FSU hasn't faced a team with the level of athletic talent Auburn has, and yes that includes Clemson and Florida.

Points well taken. Auburn's victories over Mizzou and especially 'Bama were impressive to say the last, though I've had the sinking impression that the Crimson Tide were just a little overrated this season compared to years past. I don't think it will be a low-scoring game either way. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the final tally is somewhere in the ballpark of 41-38. Auburn won't win if they can't establish and maintain the ground game, and FSU will fail if Winston has a bad day. Should be a great game either way!

Auburn's defense is a bit suspect, especially the secondary. FSU is going to have a hard time stopping Auburn's rushing attack. I predict a high scoring affair with Auburn's ability to control the clock giving them the edge in the end.

Johnny Manziel is just flat fun to watch.
Did not realize Duke was for real after FSU easily dismantled them.
No. 24 Duke vs. No. 21 Texas A&M
Chick-fil-A BOWL
48-45 Duke at the moment with about 5 minutes left on the clock...it's a shoot out...don't count Manziel out yet.
Wait...interception...pick 6 and the Aggies lead. Damn !

That guy is tougher than nails, he really makes things happen. In the end the D won the game which may have been a good thing for Johnny, he did not have to put the winning points on the board, not that he couldn't have.

You guys are crazy if you think Auburn is putting up more than 40 on FSU. I'd say 32 at most, and that includes them getting points off turnovers or points on a short field from FSU mistakes.
Regardless, if FSU plays a perfect to semi-perfect game, FSU is going to win, by a lot - maybe drop at least 45 points. Even if their offense sputters, their D is insanely good and fast. They're incredibly balanced.
The only way Auburn wins if FSU has too many costly turnovers. That's it.
Now I will note Auburn seems to be a team of destiny. And I will give them credit with their wins over Alabama and Missouri. They seem to be playing better each week. However they have been incredibly lucky to be where they are. Alabama dominated most of the game and was clearly the better team. If Alabama had made one of those missed field goals, it'd be Alabama - FSU. We don't even need to go there with that last second catch against Georgia.
However, FSU seems to be a team on a mission and incredibly focused. They don't talk crap, they've executed week in and week out on both offense and defense, and besides the whole false rape accusation, they've had no incidents off the field. Say what you want about their schedule. Even the greatest teams in college football have at least one game where they played down to their competition; FSU never did. They dominated on both sides of the ball every game.
And oh yeah, the last two times FSU had Heisman winners, they won the National Championship. I'll leave with that
